Football Park's Top Picks: Saturday EFL & EPL Accumulator

Let's get this show on the road. Recent weeks have shown that I can, in fact, both talk the talk and walk the walk, so depicting this weekend's Premier League and EFL action should be a breeze. Festive football always makes for an action-packed calendar, and this Saturday's fixture list follows suit.

Given that Second Round FA Cup action is taking place, our focus will predominantly be on action in the top two English divisions, and for good reason. Hull City and Middlesbrough start off the Championship affairs on Friday night, and make sure to check out our full prediction for this fixture here.

I think that I've kept you waiting for long enough, so let's go ahead and see the accumulator based on my Saturday Selections!

London Joy in The Prem

Before you call me crazy with the Spurs shout, at least hear me out. Tottenham have the second-worst home form in the division coming into this one, having won just once in seven attempts. They face a Brentford side that has also one win to their name away from home. The Bees have been defeated in three consecutive league matches against this weekend's opponents, two of those losses coming at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Thomas Frank has come under strong pressure to produce results, and a draw at St. James' Park in midweek is no easy task considering Newcastle's strong home form. He will be eager to get the better of his former side here and revitalize spirits in the camp. Despite the results, the hosts have scored nine goals in their last five matches, and I think it is only a matter of time before things start to click into place for them, starting here on Saturday afternoon with a home victory.

Chelsea will be hoping to continue their strong performances and take advantage of a pretty lackluster Bournemouth side on the weekend. The Blues head into this one with three league victories in their last four attempts, scoring seven goals in this run and conceding just the one (before the Leeds game tonight). Enzo Maresca 's side is unbeaten in their last four league visits to the Vitality Stadium, with wins in three. Chelsea will see this as a great opportunity to close the gap on league leaders Arsenal by claiming another important three points here.

Back The Early Kick-Off

The forbidden rule in football betting is to never bet on the early kick-off, but there is nothing wrong with a rule break here and there, right? You can get away with it in this one, as Charlton will hope to put recent woes to the side and get back on track with a victory on the weekend. The Addicks have won four of their eight home league matches so far this season, scoring ten goals and conceding nine ; the goal difference is a plus. Pompey have been anything but happy travelers and have the worst away record in the division, winless in their last seven on the road. As you know, the Championship is full of surprises, but with Nathan Jones at the helm for the hosts, this one screams a narrow Charlton win. That being said, I am siding with our prediction that you can view here for this fixture, a victory that would enhance Charlton's outside playoff hopes.

Two Attacking Powerhouses

Ipswich Town and Coventry City, the two highest-scoring teams in the division, face off at Portman Road on Saturday afternoon. While the Sky Blues are a step above the rest in the Championship, they know that this game will be no easy task, and Ipswich have failed to score on just two occasions at home this season. The Tractor Boys have defeated Coventry on the past three occasions and will fancy themselves to beat anyone on home soil. Two of the last four meetings between these two in Ipswich have seen goals scored by both sides, and there is more than enough reason to believe that this game will be full of goals again. Our in-house tipster has 51.70% confidence in a Both Teams to Score Bet
