Crazy Multi Bet Tips Today | Sheffield United vs Leicester City Bet Builder Guide | Football Park's Best Bets 31/12/25

Here it is - our first bet builder for the year of 2026 rolls into view, and it is a cracker. Leicester City vs Sheffield United. Underachiever vs underachiever. Promotion hopeful vs promotion hopeful. The scene is set for some New Year’s Day fireworks.

Both have encountered significant struggles this campaign - in a season where both were supposed to be competing right at the very top of the Championship, they instead find themselves floundering to get out of mid-table obscurity.

Leicester are slightly better off, their 12th place and 34 points being five and five ahead of Sheffield United’s ranking, but neither will be pleased with their progress to date, meaning that this game against a fellow struggler poses as the perfect chance to gather some momentum.

Should Leicester win, they could move as high as seventh depending on other results, and should that happen, the outlook on their season will become significantly rosier. Meanwhile, the Blades can only move as high as 13th. However, this will still be seen as progress, and they need to win these sorts of games if they are to stand any chance of reviving their promotion hopes.

With stakes high for both sides, it is only right that you stake something yourself - that is why we at Football Park have built you two carefully crafted bet builders that cater to bettors looking for both big wins and small profits. What better way to start the new year with a bang?

Why We Are Backing This Bet

Low Risk

More than One: Goals have not exactly been at a shortage in recent times for either side. In all of Leicester’s last five matches, three or more goals have been scored, with both sides chipping in on each occasion, while Sheffield United have exceeded the 1.5 threshold in each of their last nine games.

It seems that this fixture is perfectly set up to be a goalfest - neither side defends particularly convincingly, and combining this with their very talented attacking lineups, offence is likely to be the best form of defence here.

Home Advantage: Unbeaten in their last six games at Bramall Lane (W4 L2), Sheffield United have started to make a nasty habit of being rather tricky to beat again. They are still vulnerable on the road, but their home form has excelled in recent weeks, and with it, the home support has started to become deafening.

Leicester are obviously fairly accustomed to the loud atmospheres of the Premier League. However, when faced with an in-form side and their borderline bonkers fans, they are presented with a different kind of pressure, which in their current run of form, we don’t think they will be able to withstand.

Both Teams to Score: As mentioned earlier, both sides have hit purple patches in front of goal - unfortunately, their defence is suffering from somewhat the opposite. The Blades have kept just one clean sheet in five, while Leicester have none in their since September, remarkably conceding in each of their last 18 league games.

It just underlines the point that members of the defence will go home already cursing their New Year’s resolutions, while the attackers will leave questioning whether there really is a god.

High Risk

Jordan James ... Again: It just goes to show how inconsistent Leicester’s season has been when you see that a defensive midfielder tops the scoring ranks. However, Jordan James has been nothing short of outstanding, a sparkling bright spot in what has otherwise been a dreary season.

His seven goals are two more than the next best Leicester player, Bobby Reid, and the Welshman, on loan from Rennes, has netted in the Foxes' last two fixtures. Marti Cifuentes will be hoping the former Birmingham man makes it lucky number three.

Leicester to Cause Upset: The Foxes actually boast some decent away form, winning four times and drawing a further three in 12 games on the road, enough to rank them 10th in the away form table.

Up against a Sheffield side that ranks 19th in home form, Leicester will fancy their chances regardless of their recent inconsistency, and with the Blades' tendency to let more than one in, multiple goals could snuff out any hope of a happy new year in Sheffield.

Over 2.5 Goals: It is Leicester’s recent goals per game record that dictates this selection - in the Foxes’ last 10 games, three or more goals have been scored, making almost any game they play in a banker to come off.

Though Sheffield United’s record isn’t quite as impressive, they have still exceeded this threshold in seven of their last nine games, highlighting both sides’ preference for end-to-end, exciting football. This is going to be a great watch for the neutral.
