Football Park's Best Bets | Blackburn vs Ipswich EFL Longshot Bet Builder

We have midweek action to start off the EFL Christmas Calendar and this is a fixture sprinkled with controversy. Blackburn and Ipsiwch had already met at Ewood Park in September, where the hosts held a 1-0 lead until the 80th minute until the game was called off for adverse weather conditions. The EFL decided that the fixture should be replayed in full and Rovers' goal advantage to not be considered, so we should expect some bad blood from the hosts coming into this one.

Theres no place like anywhere but home for Blackburn Rovers so far, having the second worst league record at home but the second best away record behind leaders Coventry City. For full insight ahead of this matchup, make sure to check out our Blackburn vs Ipswich Town prediction (Spoiler Alert; we are siding with the predicted bet in this one).

Given the circumstances coming into the game, we should expect a tasty affair and have put together a bet builder consisting of outside chances that we have reason to believe will come in.

This bet builder was made using talkSPORT Bet, which has great value odds for any leg you can imagine. With this bet builder, you could claim a massive x3 multiplier on any bet over £5, with a maximum win of £300 on offer. You don’t want to miss it.

A Controversial One

Did you expect anything less from myself than to side with the result that would spark the most controversy? This is not just for the entertainment sakes' though as there is more than enough reason to believe that Ipswich will come out on top here. Kieran McKenna's side suffered a shock defeat away at Oxford United last time out but were unfortunate not to get anything out of the game, courtesy of a great peformance by U's No.1 Jamie Cumming.

Ipswich have had great joys on the road in recent weeks, having won three straight games on the road prior to Friday night. Despite being behind to tommorow's opponents last time out, The Tractor Boys were down to ten men from early in the second half and they have looked to come on significantly since this peformance. We are siding with an away win here, our in-house tipster having 46.70% confidence in this selection.

Rovers Fight for What is Right

Blackburn fans have rightly shown their frustrations about the nature of this fixture but they will be hoping to have something to cheer about in what has been a miserable trip to Ewood Park this season. Their only victory here was against Southampton in October, former Saints manager Will Still's final away game before being sacked. They thoroughly deserved the win on that day and Blackburn can view this as an opportunity to put things right against a side they have been victorious in five of seven meetings in on home soil. We are not willing to side with the formbooks entirely here but will certainly back the hosts to get on the scoresheet in this one.

We will even tell you who is going to be the player to do so (so thoughtful, right?) Striker Yuki Ohashi has been a great addtion for the Lancashire side since joining in 2024, achieving double digits for goals with ten in his first season with the club. He has scored four so far this league campaign, two coming in home encounters, whilst being unfortunate not to add to his goal tally in recent matches. We are taking a chance at his luck changing here, which you can get at 3.00 Odds (Anytime Goalscorer) as a single bet with BOYLE Sports.

A Big Ask for the Youngster

Young central defender George Pratt was recalled from a loan spell with Chorley and chucked straight into the Rovers back line admist the long list of defensive injuries at the club. Pratt has held his own and made a vital defensive clearance against Wrexham last time out but we think the attacking quality of Ipswich Town might be a step too far for the young defender. With the expectation being that he will feature again, we are going for Pratt to be carded and this could make for quite the article title if his actions happen to be costly for his side..
