The inaugural Super Sunday longshot acca of 2026 is here, and I will be running you through our opening eye-watering longshot of the year - and what better way to start it by taking you through some thrilling action across the Premier League on January 4.

Highlighting the day is without a doubt THAT 4:30pm kick-off, with a managerless Chelsea taking on Pep Guardiola's Manchester City. Other notable fixtures see Manchester United in action against an in-form Leeds United, while Newcastle entertain Crystal Palace at St James' Park.

Onto the accumulator now, and we are here to give you all the knowledge you need in order to join us on our incredible ACCA; or, at least, help guide you towards one of your own!

We've teamed up with talkSPORT Bet for this accumulator, and have compiled six legs to the betslip with detailed research to match. This has some incredible value with it too, combining to a stunning 18/1 in what includes some risky outlooks, and some safer ones. If successful, a £10 stake on the acca may see a return of £196.81.

Why We Are Behind This Bet

Goals Galore at Leeds and Everton

The first match of this mammoth Super Sunday gets underway at Elland Road, as Leeds and Man United reinstate their bitter historical rivalry at lunchtime. Here, we have gone for three or more goals to be scored, with our expert in-house algorithm giving this market an 87.50% chance of occurring, backing our thoughts of a goal-fest in Yorkshire.

Back in November, Daniel Farke was under the cosh, following a 3-2 defeat at the Etihad marking a run of one league win in eight games. Since then, his side have demolished Chelsea much to my disappointment, as well as earning a thrilling 3-3 draw (and more recently 0-0) with Liverpool and defeating European side Crystal Palace 4-1 during an unbeaten run now lasting six games.

The recent draw to Liverpool was the first time they had failed to score since the start of November, and mixing this in with United's impressive form in front of goal while both sides continue to struggle defensively makes this market stand out to us. It is sure to be fiery affair, and these encounters almost always scream goals.

In Liverpool now, well, the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Everton welcome Brentford in a match where we could also see goals fly in. Granted, in recent weeks there has not been much action in terms of goals in games including the Toffees, but when we research each side in this match up, we believe there is a solid chance of at least two goals being scored, backed by our algorithm's 75% chance of seeing this market come in too.

The Bees have a very solid home record, losing just one of their 10 games at the Gtech, but a huge reason why they are not quite competing is their away form - losing seven of their nine trips on the road.

These games have also seen 24 goals scored - or just under 3 per game - meaning we could be in store for a number of goals in Merseyside.

Tyne-Wear Success and Chelsea to Struggle in First Game Without Maresca

Another reason which makes this Sunday look so exciting is seeing the sides from the north-east taking on two of London's best. Crystal Palace travel to St James' Park, and we believe it is a game which screams a Newcastle win.

When looking into the head-to-head record especially, it seems that the Eagles have not had a good past when travelling up to this part of the country. Despite avoiding defeat in five of the past 12 visits to Newcastle, Palace have not scored a single goal in any of their last five visits, losing four of these, and the last two with an aggregate of 9-0.

We also believe that Sunderland could continue what has been an excellent return to topflight football, by extending their unbeaten run to five games when they travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.

It is safe to say that Spurs' domestic fortunes really have not changed much since last year, as they currently sit 12th in the Premier League, with the Black Cats three points richer in seventh.

We are overlooking head-to-head here, as these sides look vastly different as to what they were eight years ago when they last met, but we fancy Regis Le Bris' side to match the visiting supporters' energy and give them a performance to be proud of, by earning at least a point.

Chelsea without Maresca, how is this going to go? Well, the Blues have won just one league game in seven, while Man City have gone nine games unbeaten (winning eight) in all competitions.

The Blues will be heading to the Etihad hoping to win their first game there since the Thomas Tuchel era (oh Tuchel, how we miss you) in 2021. They will be praying a lot, however, with City well and truly back, and after they drew with Sunderland on New Years Day, they will be raring to get back out to the field and close the gap to leaders Arsenal.

Liverpool to Entertain at the Cottage

After a dull and stale display at Anfield, the Reds have a lot to prove and could come out firing against Fulham as Arne Slot looks to get his first win against the West London outfit.

Both sides have shown their ability to score at scary rates already this season, including Fulham putting four past City just one month ago, and with 13 goals being found in their last three meetings, over 2.5 goals looks like a very appealing market for us.

Both teams to score also seems like an attractive market, with this coming in in seven of their last eight meetings; the only caveat coming in May 2023, where Liverpool ran out 1-0 winners.
