Romans To Achieve Home European Victory

Midtyjlland have been in surprisngly good nick over in the Europa League, as they Danish side currently sit at the very top of the league phase stage with 4 games having been played, claiming a win in each fixture over Celtic, Sturm Graz, Maccabi Tel-Aviv and - most surprisingly - Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

The caveat to this run is that Midtyjlland have picked up these four wins against 2 sides that they were expected to beat anyway, and 2 other sides that were atrociously out of form under their managers of the time. Ange Postecoglou was amidst a miserable 39 days in charge of Forest at that point, and Celtic were struggling to find 2nd gear at the end of their second tenure under Brendan Rogers.

In Roma, Midtyjlland will be squaring off with an opponent with the exact opposite of any form worres, with Gian Piero Gasperini's Serie A side topping the Serie A table with 9 wins from 12. Their European fortunes haven't been quite as dominant, with the Romans sitting only 18th after a surprise defeat to Viktoria Plzen and a narrow loss to Ligue 1 side LOSC Lille.

They'll be looking to get back on the right track when it comes to their European adventures this season. Midtyjlland come into the game after a surprising 2-1 defeat away to Sonderjyske in their native Danish Superliga, and their fantastic European form should come to a head as they make the trip to Italy tonight.

At 1.57, a £10 stake will return a resourceful £15.70 with BOYLE Sports.
