Well here we are once again - staring down the barrel of one of the more entertaining recent rivalries in the Premier League.
It's fair to say that the 'CityPool' rivalry isn't quite as heated these days as prior years gone by, thanks to the exit of Jurgen Klopp and a shared hatred of Arsenal taking the precedent, but each occasion that these teams come to bat against one another is always a thrill to behold.
Liverpool's hopes of retaining their Premier League title are all but dead in the water with the Reds sitting in sixth, 14 points back from league-leading Arsenal, whereas Pep Guardiola is looking to get back onto the top step after being bettered by Arne Slot's side to the title last season - they sit in 2nd at the moment, and will be hoping for a statement win to keep the pressure on Mikel Arteta, who leads the league by six points with his Arsenal side.
With such a thrilling encounter set to come and with plenty of entertainment to come, it's only right that you get involved in the action with one of our expertly-selected bet builders. Both Teams to Score
In their last nine games, Liverpool have managed to keep just the three clean sheets whilst allowing sides such as Burnley, Wolves and League One side Barnsley to find the back of the net against them. Manchester City, meanwhile, leak goals whilst still holding obvious scoring power. They have scored in every game they have played since the start of the year barring two - a shock loss in the Manchester Derby and a bore draw on New Year's Day with Sunderland.
This is a game with massive implications for both sides - Liverpool are desperate to consolidate their form and at least make a realistic Champions League push, and Manchester City will be hoping to put away a rival to keep the pressure on another at the top of the table. A draw does little for either team, so we should see an open affair.
Goals to Flow Over
Since 2016, there has been only two matchups between these two that have not seen the Over 1.5 Goals market as a payout, and none since 2022. This is a heated rivalry over the recent years, albeit less so in today's news, and we should hopefully see a boiling bout of Sunday action that brings goals. For the higher line, three of Manchester City's last five matches have seen four or more goals scored overall, and the exact same can be said for Liverpool who came close to four from five with a 3-0 game against Marseille coming close to the line.
Both teams have been in a scoring mood recently, so let's hope the goals fly.
Corners Runneth Over
There has only been one game since the turn of the new year that has not seen our higher line of 10.5 Match Corners come home as a winner in Liverpool fixtures, which was a shocking low of three in a match against Arsenal. However, this line is consistently breached in their matches despite that odd blip in a terrible game of football. There was a whopping 18 in their most recent match against Newcastle United, for one.
Pep Guardiola's obsession over scoring perfect goals seems to undermine their ability to earn corner kicks, with our top line coming home only once in their last five matches, amidst their shocking loss to Bodo/Glimt in Europe. However, Liverpool will bring a desperation and a chaos to this game that should force the Citizen's to lose their perfectionist edge, so the corners should tot up against-type here.
Usually, this section would be reserved for explaining the steps for how to claim the offer - after all, who’s going to turn down a boost that offers up to £75?
However, this time we don’t need to, as the banner at the top of the article takes you straight to the promotion. From here, simply place the bet, and upon the final whistle, claim the reward, which should be added to your BOYLE Sports wallet right away!
