Benin
A battle to reach the quarter final stage of the Africa Cup of Nations takes place on Monday as Egypt, second favourites obly to Morocco take on Benin. Who have reached the knockout stage of the competition for the first time in their history.
Egypt cruised to top of their group, topping group B with seven points. Winning their first two matches and securing a draw in the final group game in order to secure top spot.
Benin meanhile, squeezed through as one of the third place teams lucky enough to reach the knockouts with three points in group D. WIth a second matchday victory enough to earn a round of 16 tie with Mo Salah and co.

Egypt have bounced back from a poor defeat to Jordan in the final match of the Arab Cup, with a strong group stage performance in the AFCON which has seen them top the group with two wins from three.

Things were looking bleak for Benin heading into this Africa Cup Of Nations Tournament, however Benin managed to secure a win in the group stage which proved enough to squeeze through to the round of 16 stage.
He may not be having a great season at Liverpool, but Mo Salah is still clearly the main man for Egypt. If the Egyptians are to lift the trophy come the end of the tournament, the winger will be at the very heart of the success.
Striker Steve Mounie will be recognisable to watchers of the Premier League and the EFL. The forward had a strong spell with Huddersfield Town and at the age of 31 will hope to lead his national team to a shock victory to reach the quarter-finals.
