Mexico’s Club America sit atop the standings, having won the competition a record seven times, and Cruz Azul ensure a Mexico one-two, with six titles to their name. In fact, the top six most frequent winners are all Mexican - Monterrey and Pachuca have five apiece, C.F. Atlante are three-time champions, and UNAM sit alongside them on the same number. The first non-Mexican side in the standings is surprisingly Deportivo Saprissa, the Costa Rican giants, who also have three titles to their name.
