Still to come, we'll break down important features like the welcome bonuses, security, casino game selection, and sports betting facilities, and finish by giving our overall opinion for this popular iGaming brand.

Welcome Bonus and Promotions Offered by BetMGM

Of course, various terms apply to make the absolute most out of it, but BetMGM is unique from a lot of other bookmakers in their field in that they offer two different signup offers on their site and app. Of course, this being a football page, we'll start off by looking at what is on offer in their sportsbook.

Sportsbook

On the sporting area of BetMGM, a new player can claim £40 in free bets for their first £10 staked with the company. It's a cracking little offer, giving some serious value straight back to any players starting their experience with the brand for the very first time. As far as offers go, when in comparison with other competitors like them, it's valuable and made more impressive by some pretty simple T&Cs:

• Minimum deposit of £10.

• The qualifying bet must have the required minimum odds (Evens).

• You get 2x £10 Sports bet, and 2x £10 bet builders.

• The free bets must be used within 7 days.

• When used, the initial free bet stake is removed from your account.

• No wagering requirements on your free bets.

This is a strong offer because it uses a variety of different free bet styles, allowing you to explore a bit more of the BetMGM brand rather than forcing you down one area of thinking. The qualifying bet requirements are easy to understand, too, and there is no promo code required. Simply opt in for the offer upon registration, stake £10 on a bet of your choosing at at least Evens, and you'll get your free bets once the original bet has settled, win or lose.

The only caveat is that you only have seven days to use up the free bets provided, and you can't use them on e-sports or horse racing outside of the UK and Ireland. Of course, full terms and conditions do apply here - it's only available, like any bookie in general, to those aged at least 18 and responsible gambling is encouraged constantly. Need support? Check out GambleAware.org.

BetMGM are also moving heavily into Horse Racing - with a big focus on races across the USA and the big money markets like the UK and Ireland. Whilst we focus on Football here, you can find some great daily selections at Today Horse Racing Tips

Casino

If you have a penchant for casino betting and slot games, then you will be off to a brilliant start if opting into the casino signup offer with BetMGM. This is absolutely one of the best signup offers available through any site with an online casino, with opting in granting you 200 free spins on the ever-popular Big Bass Splash.

To claim it, you'll need to deposit and wager at least £10 to claim the free spins offer on one of the most popular slot games in the UK, courtesy of Pragmatic Play and the focal point of the iconic Big Bass series of games. As per the norm, important terms and conditions do apply to the generous welcome offer:

• Minimum deposit of £10

• The age requirement is 18 and above

• Every player has to opt in to claim the offer

• Wager 1x on eligible casino games and on the £10 deposit (wagering contributions vary)

• Get 200 free spins on Big Bass Splash, valued at £0.10 each

• Free Spins must be used within 3 days of activation

• You must make your first deposit and wager within 7 days of creating your account

• Further T&Cs apply

Claiming this offer as a new player is but the work of a moment:

• Visit the site and create a BetMGM account.

• Go to the “Promotions” and opt in to the Casino Welcome Offer.

• Make a minimum deposit of £10.

• Wager 1x on the eligible casino games.

• You will receive 200 Free Spins on Big Bass Splash.

What makes this offer stand out to us is how straightforward it is. The requirements are clear and it is free of any unnecessary red tape or complications, making it easy to understand and, most crucially, claim and use.

Sportsbook Coverage at BetMGM

BetMGM's sportsbook carries all of the essential markets and coverage that you would come anticipate from and UK online gaming brand worth their salt. We focus on football primarily, of course, so that's where we focussed the bulk of our review into. That category in particular is jam packed with competitions and markets, such as the EPL, FA Cup, League Cup, lower tier divisions as well as European Leagues, intercontinental tournaments like the UEFA Champions League as well as global competitions like the World Cup.

They are an American brand, so naturally BetMGM has amazing coverage for a lot of North America's favourite sports and leagues, such as the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL, as well as collegiate sports and second-tier levels of a lot of their sports. You've got in-play and pre-match betting markets available in abundance for all of the above, and the in-play betting setup is particularly superb. A text reel will guide you through each step of each fixture, and odds refresh quickly to reflect the pace of an event whilst being very easy to navigate.

Against their peers, BetMGM also do a great job of providing statistics for all of the events they have markets available for as well. Using the NBA as an example out of our regular comfort zone, you can find a dossier filled with H2H details, expected lineups and divisional and conference standings as well as player stats.

Online Casino on BetMGM

I’ll admit that I mainly only play Aviator and live blackjack at BetMGM, but it does have an amazing range of games from top developers like Pragmatic Play, Play’N GO, and NetEnt. The following game categories are available here:

Sport, obviously, is our main penchant on this website, but we do still have an affinity for casino games. Fortunately in that department, BetMGM have one of the most impressive offerings of online gambling games anywhere on the market - what else would you expect from a place with roots in Las Vegas? With them, you can find top games from top developers like Pragmatic Play, Play’N GO, and NetEnt.

The following game categories are all available with BetMGM:

• Slots

• Table games

• Megaways

• Arcade games

• Slingo

• Live dealers

The collection of slots on offer is particularly compelling. You've got all of your classics, like Starburst, Eye of Horus, Big Bass Bonanza and Rich Wilde, but there is also a smattering of crash games such as Aviator and Spaceman.

There is also a cool "live from Vegas" section on the brand, which acts as a separate live dealer collection where you can play live games of Roulette and Blackjack with a real dealer on a Las Vegas floor casino, such as the esteemed Bellagio hotel. Cool, innit?

And, don't forget, you can make full use of the casino section here by using the 200 free spins offer that can be found above.

Payment Methods Available on BetMGM

In the big 2026, you would expect most UK betting sites and casinos to have the best payment systems available - fortunately, BetMGM meets that expectation well.

We tend to use Apple Pay linking to a bank card for our deposits, which is available for deposits and withdrawals alike with this brand as well as your regular menu featuring MasterCard, Visa, PayPal and Google Pay as well as direct Bank Transfers. There could be a slightly more broad array of methods, such as crypto transactions and other E-Wallets, but the reality is that the majority of UK players will be using the available methods as standard anyway, so it's a relative non-issue.

Minimum in and out limits are at a low £10 with zero transaction fees. Deposits land instantly in my account, and in the majority of our testing withdrawals we got the money straight away then as well. The longest wait we had in one instance was only a few hours, and whilst the website does state that withdrawals from cards and Apple Pay can take up to 3 working days I have never had to wait that long.

Desktop, Mobile App and User Experience at BetMGM

Desktop

The functionality of the desktop over at at BetMGM - much like the hotel - is grand. It's a basic site design with the classic black and gold brand colour scheme that is easy on the eye and easier to navigate around. A bookie is only as strong as it's ease of use, of course, and a poor aesthetic can be a major turn off for prospective punters, even subconciouslly. Thankfully, BetMGM have no problems here - there is a lot of clear effort in how the site looks and works.

You can quickly switch between the sportsbook, casino and live offerings using the clear links on the top menu, but things like promos, the Bet MGM blog and customer support are easily found on a pop-out side menu. The sportsbook and casino themselves also have clear, logical layouts as well. The "all sports" option at the top of the former allows easy trawling through various markets, and the casino has similar categories. However, they could be organised slightly better and the categories could be better optimised on the mobile web browser.

Mobile

BetMGM have an app for both Android and iOS devices, boasting a 4.5 star rating from 6000 reviews on the latter and a 4.3 from over 35,000 on the latter. The comments for them both are largely positive, welcoming the usability, playability and generous welcome bonuses on offer.

We had our test run on an iOS device, and we deduced it down to being one of the better UK online gambling apps available. It's well-polished with fast loading speeds, easy touchscreen features and simplistic menus for all of the different sections. We largely used the app for our casino test, and there were no issues with loading speeds on games. Live games like Aviator and Big Bass Splash came through quickly and connection speed is strong. However, do use WiFi where possible if you're going to the live dealers - they'll swallow your data allowance at a speed something fierce.

Licensing and Security with BetMGM

At Football Park, we will strictly recommend only licensed casinos and sportsbooks. An operator has to comply with industry standard and regulations set out by the license issuer in the UK, particularly the incredibly-strict UK Gambling Commissions (UKGC). Audits are frequent and licenses have to be re-applied for fairly frequently. It's a level of protection highly neccesary in our industry to protect against fraud and unethical practices.

BetMGM are UKGC-licensed under the number 39198. The website footer has a link to the official licensing page if you want to check that out, and the site and app are both secure - HTTPS connectivity, SSL encryption, and SSL certificate, terms and conditions, a privacy policy, cookie policy, and clearly defined betting rules all come into play to ensure your money and playing is safe with the brand.

Customer Support at BetMGM

Customer support is vital to ensuring a bookmaker's quality, especially with real money involved. The system at BetMGM is definitely satisfactory, as proved by our testing queries. The live chat feature is very handy - the replies are quick and friendly and highly efficient, and can be found in the bottom right-hand corner of the site.

You'll need to pass on your email address to prove you are a customer first, and then you'll move firstly to a chatbot that will try and automatically handle your issue. If they can't, you'll be referred to a human rep within 10 minutes and they will more than likely solve your problem with haste.

You can also contact them through email at [email protected]. English is the main language of communication, but other languages like Danish and Swedish are available too.

Responsible Gambling with BetMGM

I’m an advocate for responsible gambling and I think that BetMGM does a good job of keeping its customers safe and giving them the tools and information they need to stay in control. They are part of the GAMSTOP and Bet Blocker programs which allow you to exclude yourself from multiple gambling sites at once. Not only that, but the site has multiple responsible gambling tools including deposit limits, timeouts, and self-exclusion periods. There are also links to gambling support sites like BeGambleAware, plus reminders to gamble responsibly throughout the site.

BetMGM do a great job of keeping their players safe, which is always encouraging to see from such a big bookie. Every player will have ample information available to help stay in control of their play, and the bookie is part of the GAMSTOP and Bet Blocker programmes that will allow you to exclude yourself from multiple sites at once. As well as that, things like deposit limits, self-exclusion and reality checks are all used to keep you in line, and links to support sites like BeGambleAware are available as well as reminders to play responsibly and within your means.

Our Final Verdict of BetMGM

This US-based bookie is one of the strongest available anywhere in the UK.

You can get started on their easy-to-use website or app, bolstered by an incredibly generous signing bonus. From there, you can browse a healthy sportsbook and plethora of casino and live betting options, all helped along with consistently impressive odds and promotions. On top of that, they are fully licensed and any issues that crop up when playing can be resolved quickly and efficiently.

Overall, we would recommend BetMGM highly for any prospective new players in the UK.
