This Sunday’s Serie A action sees AS Roma make the trip to face AC Milan at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza or the San Siro as it is more commonly known. Both of these Italian giants have struggled this season so this match will be crucial for each side in their efforts of trying to get their form back on track.
Neither side come into this game in flying form, both teams in the top half of the Serie A table though. AC Milan are unbeaten in their last two matches have drawn to Genoa and recently beat Hellas Verona. They will be looking to extend that run to three games but AS Roma will definitely have something to say about that. They too won in their last game as they convincingly beat Parma 0-5 to help send them higher in the standings after struggling early on. This Sunday looks to be an exciting match between two of the most famous and historic teams in Italy and, with a lot being on the line in this match, a back and forth should be what you should expect.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-Up: Mike Maignan; Theo Hernández, Malick Thiaw, Matteo Gabbia, Emerson Royal; Flippo Terracciano, Youssouf Fofana; Álex Jiménez, Tijani Reijnders, Samuel Chukwueze; Álvaro Morata
AC Milan have had a decent start to the season, finding themselves just outside the European places so early on in the campaign but slightly disappointing given the talent that Milan have to offer. After 16 games they sit in eighth place with seven wins, four losses and five draws. Those matches have left them with 26 points, a shocking 11 points behind fierce rivals Inter Milan who sit third in the table. They are only two points behind Bologna however so a win and other results going their way and AC Milan could climb up the table come the full time whistle. In the goals for The Rossoneri has been winger Christian Pullisic. The American has been responsible for AC Milan finding the back of the net, through himself or providing an assist, a total of nine times. Fellow winger Rafael Leão has amassed seven goal contributions and attacking midfielder Tijani Reijnders is one behind with six. It will have to be Reijnders that is the difference maker this Sunday as unfortunately for AC Milan, the aforementioned winger are both unavailable through injury. That is a lot to ask of the Dutchman but he has looked good this season, Sunday’s task not too much pressure for him.
Formation: 3-4-2-1
Predicted Line-Up: Milan Svilar; Evan N’Dicka, Mats Hummels, Gianluca Mancini; Angeliño, Manu Koné, Leandro Paredes, Alexis Saelemaekers; Stephan El Shaarawy, Paulo Dybala; Artem Dovbyk
AS Roman, like their opponents, have had a decent but distinctly average start to the season, finding themselves in the mid-table positions after 17 games. They sit in 10th place with five wins, eight losses and four draws with those matches leaving them with 19 points, sharing that tally with Empoli and Torino but goal difference being the key reason as to why they are not lower down the standings. Veteran of the Serie A now, attacking midfielder Paulo Dybala recently surpassed Gonzalo Higuaín to become the third highest scoring Argentine in the Serie A. ‘La Joya’ has netted four times this season but it is his Ukrainian teammate Artem Dovbyk that is top goalscorer for I Giallorossi with five goals. The pair of them will need to work together as the difference makers for Roma in this crucial and entertaining match on Sunday.
The last five faceoffs have been split in the favour of neither side as AC Milan and AS Roma have both won twice and shared a point once. This Sunday should be a very open match with it up for grabs from both of them.

Almost midway through the Serie A season and Roma are still yet to pickup a win away from home. Despite scoring 16 goals in their last five games, they were against lesser opposition. AC Milan should give Roma a tougher time this Sunday.
