Ajax have had a decent start to this year’s edition of the UEFA Europa League, residing in fifth place after five games. Three wins, one loss and one draw have left them with 10 points, with their impressive goal tally keeping them ahead of all the other teams with the same amount. Of the 13 goals that de Godenzonen have scored, it is Kenneth Taylor that has the most contributions. The Dutch midfielder has found the back of the net three times and provided and an assist. Francesco Farioli will be looking to him for to be a decisive player in this Thursday night’s action. If Taylor can’t be the one, then both Brian Brobbey and Mika Godts have also racked up four goal contributions as well.

Predicted Line-Up: Christos Mandas; Luca Pellegrini, Patric, Samuel Gigot, Manuel Lazzari; Fisayo Dele-Bashiru, Nicolò Rovella; Mattia Zaccagni (c), Boulaye Dia, Pedro; Valentín Castellanos
Lazio have had an even better start to this year’s campaign. They sit top of the Europa League standings. After five games the have achieved four wins and one draw with 13 points, goal difference being the reason as to why they are ahead, just like Ajax. Le Aquile have also had a star with three goals and an assist, and that man is Pedro. The veteran winger has been turning back the years with his performances and has a great chance to do so once more this Thursday, potentially adding to his already impressive tally. Domestically, full back Nuno Tavares is the top assister in the Serie A but he came off injured late on in the match so unfortunately he might be a doubt for this one against Ajax.
This is the first official match that these two sides have ever faced each other. It should be a back and forth game this Thursday, with Ajaz and Lazio so far up the table, putting on great displays.
Over the course of the five games so far, Lazio have scored nine goals when playing away from home whilst conceding none. Ajax have also been solid defensively, conceded three goals in total. It will be a tough game for the attackers for each team.
For that reason, our betting experts have gone with a Draw as our best value tip for this game.
Odds of 13/5 mean that a £10 bet has the potential to return up to £36 in this match.
(odds subject to change)
Ajax 1-1 Lazio
We can see Ajax and Lazio finding the back of the net in this game but when it comes to the final whistle, we think that a point will be shared between them.
