Arsenal look to close the gap at the top of the table to just four, as they welcome North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal come into this game off the back of a penalty shootout loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup. Mikel Arteta’s side currently sit third in the Premier League table, however a win in the North London Derby would see them climb above second place Nottingham Forest and just four points behind leaders Liverpool.
Tottenham have struggled to the least this campaign. The Lilywhites come into this game following an embarrassing display against non-league side Tamworth in the FA Cup. Spurs were taken into extra time against the part-time club and would need help from substitutes such as Kulusevski, Solanke, Son and Spence in order to come away victorious, in a 3-0 outing.
Gabriel Magalhaes will be a key player for Arsenal this fixture. The Brazilian centre back partners with Saliba to create one of the best defensive duos in Europe but also sits joint-third in Arsenal’s top scorers list due to his ability in the air from set pieces.
Arsenal Predicted Line-up: Raya, Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly, Odegaard, Partey, Rice, Martinelli, Trossard, Havertz
Arsenal will be looking to take advantage of Liverpool and Nottingham Forest’s encounter. The top two sides in the league came to a stalemate at the City Ground having drawn 1-1 with each other. The Gunners have won four of their last five league matches, conceding three goals and scoring ten in the contests.
The Gunners will be hoping that Kai Havertz and Gabreil Martinelli return to their form earlier in the campaign as they look to fill the void created by an injury to Bukayo Saka. The England international has scored five goals and assisted ten this season.
Arsenal will be without Tomiyasu, Jesus, White, Saka, Nwaneri and Calafiori through injury.
###** Tottenham Preview**
Tottenham Predicted Line-up: Kinsky, Porro, Dragusin, Gray, Spence, Bissouma, Sarr, Bergvall, Kulusevski, Son, Solanke
Tottenham currently sit 13th in the Premier League standing in what has been a nightmare campaign from Ange Postecoglou’s side. A win for Spurs would see them climb above West Ham in the table to 12th - way below the expectations placed upon them.
Spurs have lost five of their last eight league fixtures and will be in desperate need of a win before their season gets to an unsaveable point.
Dominic Solanke has scored seven times and assisted three in the Premier League this season in what has been a promising start to his Spurs career following a £60 million move from Bournemouth in the summer. Tottenham will be looking towards their talisman, if they wish to leave the Emirates Stadium with a win.
Odobert, Richarlison, Vicario, Davies, Romero, van de Ven, Udogie and Bentacur will all be unavailable for selection due to injury.
Tottenham have failed to win any of their last five meetings with Arsenal. The Gunners have won four and drawn once during the matchup.
Our team of professional experts have decided that the best tip for this game is Arsenal to win. Odds on Copybet of 2/5 means a bet of £10 has a potential return of £14.10.
