Barnet have looked like a side that can threaten matches this season. Despite a few losses, on their day against an inconsistent side, we think they’ll be able to take all three points from their game at home to Altrincham.
For starters, Barnet have had excellent home form since the season began. They have won all three of their home games, whilst scoring 10 and conceding just once in the process. They’ve also kept two clean sheets in those games, including a 7-0 thrashing of Ebbsfleet United.
Altrincham meanwhile, have shown their weaknesses on the road. For their first away game od the season, they got smashed 5-0 by Sutton United. They then managed a 1-0 win away to Maidenhead but then lost 2-1 to Forest Green Rovers. When playing as big side that’s dominant in front of their home crowd, they can struggle.
21-year-old Zak Brunt looks like a man of fire this season. Having joined in the summer of 2023, against Ebbsflee he bagged a superb hat-trick for Barnet. He also notched a winning goal against Forest Green Rovers. A man that can pop up when needed to in big games.
We’re backing Barnet to win this match. Through our bookmakers, you can get odds of 6/4 for this prediction, which would see a return of £25 from a £10 stake.
