Bosnia and Herzegovina take on Hungary on Monday 14th October 2024 in what will be an interesting game at the bottom of the League A Group Three table.
Both Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary have failed to win any of their group stage games so far in this UEFA Nations League campaign. A draw against each other in their last game as well sets this up as what will surely be a close fixture.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Predicted Lineup - Nikola Vasilj; Dženis Burnić, Sead Kolašinac, Nikola Katić, Adrian Leon Barišić, Jusuf Gazibegović; Denis Huseinbašić, Ivan Bašić, Armin Gigović; Ermedin Demirović, Edin Džeko
Bosnia and Herzegovina are currently bottom of their UEFA Nations League group having picked up just one point in three games. A huge defeat against the Netherlands in the opening game as well as defeat in their last game against Germany leading them here despite a draw against Hungary.
They have scored three goals in three games with one of their main issues being their defence. They have conceded seven thus far.
If they can keep the ball out of their net here - as they did in the last game against Hungary - they will have more chance of victory.
Hungary Predicted Lineup - Dénes Dibusz; Márton Dárdai, Willi Orbán, Attila Fiola; Zsolt Nagy, András Schafer, Tamás Nikitscher, Bendegúz Bolla; Dominik Szoboszlai, Roland Sallai; Barnabás Varga
Hungary sits third in the group. Two points from three games thanks to draws against Hungary as well as Netherlands in their last game leading them here.
Their lack of finishing touch is really holding them back. Defensively they are fairly solid at times. However failing to score in three of their last five games proves they have issues going forward.
Against a weaker defence in Bosnia and Herzegovina they will be hopeful of changing this however if their last result against them is anything to go off they may struggle here as well.
These two nations have faced one another five times so far.
Hungary are actually unbeaten against Bosnia having won two games to their opponents zero wins. However the majority of matches have ended in draws (3).
10th September 2024 - Hungary 0-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina - UEFA Nations League
8th September 2007 - Hungary 1-0 Bosnia and Herzegovina - UEFA Euros Qualifying
6th September 2006 - Bosnia and Herzegovina 1-3 Hungary - UEFA Euros Qualifying
28th February 2001 - Bosnia and Herzegovina 1-1 Hungary - International Friendly
10th March 1999 - Hungary 1-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina - International Friendly
This is bound to be a close game between two struggling teams.
With both teams scoring records not being great I wouldn’t expect many goals here, if any. This especially considering the strong Hungary defence in particular. This will be an even contest.
That being said our team of professional tipping experts have selected odds of 49/20 for a Draw in this game as our best value pick. These odds mean that £10 has the potential to return up to a possible £34.50.
(Odds subject to change)
Bosnia and Herzegovina 0-0 Hungary
This will be an even game between two struggling teams. Neither team score that many goals and Hungary’s good defence should prevent Bosnia from getting a goal. This will end in a 0-0 draw.
