Crewe and Morecambe certainly haven’t been lighting up the show in League Two so far, but Morecambe seem to be the worst of a bad bunch.
There is only one team in League Two who is yet to score a league goal in 2024/25, and that is Morecambe. Whilst they’ve only conceded four, they’ve created the 20th lowest xG (expected goals) in the division, 23rd worst shots on target per match with (2), the 22nd least big chances created (2) and the 19th least touches in the opposition's box (64).
Morecambe are statistically the worst attacking team in the division. In fact, they are the only side that are yet to score a goal in the top six tiers of English football.
Crewe on the other hand, looked dreadful to start the campaign. But are off the back of a win away to Bromley, when they scored two goals in the last 10 minutes.
Crewe haven’t exactly looked that strong at home either (drawing and losing there so far in the league). But if they’re ever going to be able to beat a side that is attacking one of the worst in English football right now, it’ll be in their own backyard.
We’re backing Crewe to win this game. You get odds of 1/1 through our bookmakers, which would return £20 from a £10 stake.
