This Saturday’s Premier League clash sees Everton make the trip to face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Both teams come into this game in great form, only losing one game from their last five. Crystal Palace have paired that loss with four wins keeping clean sheets in all of their victories and coincidently winning all those games 2-0. Everton on the other hand are coming into this game after a four domestic match unbeaten streak after losing in the FA Cup but at the hands of fellow Premier League side AFC Bournemouth and drawing in their most recent match against local rivals Liverpool. This Saturday looks to be a tough contest with both sides in great nick at the moment.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-Up: Dean Henderson; Marc Guéhi (c), Maxence Lacroix, Chris Richards; Tyrick Mitchell, Jefferson Lerma, Will Hughes, Daniel Muñoz; Romain Esse, Ismaïla Sarr; Jean-Philippe Mateta
Crystal Palace have had a fairly average start to the season for their standards, finding themselves just outside the top half of the table now almost halfway through the campaign. After 24 games they sit in 12th place with seven wins, eight losses and nine draws. Those matches have left them with 30 points, holding a three point gap over opponents Everton. In the goals for The Eagles has been the force of Jean-Philippe Mateta. The Frenchman has reached double digits and found the back of the net 10 times this season, accompanied by a single assist. Not trailing too far behind have been attacking midfielders Eberechi Eze and Ismaïla Sarr, both on seven goal involvements each. Unfortunately for Palace fans Eze is likely to miss this match, not yet reaching full fitness after suffering from a foot injury. The pairing of Mateta and Sarr should be the difference makers this Saturday but someone that might step out from under the radar is January window signing Romain Esse who has looked promising in the minutes he has featured in so far.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-Up: Jordan Pickford; Vitaliy Mykolenko, Jarrad Branthwaite, James Tarkowski (c), Jake O’Brien; Idrissa Gana Gueye, James Garner; Iliman Ndiaye, Abdoulaye Doucouré, Jesper Lindstrøm; Beto
The start of this season didn’t bode well for Everton but they are starting to turn their season around under David Moyes. Playing 24 games and they sit 15th place in the league table with six wins, nine losses and nine draws. Those results have left them with 27 points, sharing that tally with 14th placed Tottenham Hotspur and 16th placed West Ham United, stuck in a London sandwich. Goal difference is stopping the Merseyside club from going up and dropping down the table so a win will be a must for them. Stepping for The Toffees this season has been Iliman Ndiaye who has scored in three out of the five matches since the return of manager David Moyes. Ndiaye has amassed six goals across the 24 matches he’s featured in. Winger Dwight McNeil has matched that number for goal involvements but instead of pure goals, his tally is split into three goals and three assists. This Saturday could potentially see Ndiaye be the difference maker once more, adding to his goalscoring form under the partnership with the rest of his teammates and the confidence that Moyes has in him.
The last five faceoffs have been split in the favour of Everton, winning three out of five matches and drawing to Crystal Palace in the remaining two matches. This Saturday seems like Everton could sway the tide and pick up another win with the impressive results they have shown over recent weeks.

Everton have been great at holding the ball and consuming the pressure shown towards them and then exploding into life on the counter attack. They might struggle to do that for the whole match however, making sure they put the game to bed in the second half.
For that reason, our betting experts have gone with Half Time/Full Time Draw/Everton as our best value tip for this game.
Odds of 17/2 mean that a £10 bet has the potential to return up to £95 in this match.
