Falkirk are off the back of a sensational season. They won the Scottish League One by 16 points, with a 90 point total and for the cherry on top, an unbeaten season. The vibes around Falkirk this year could not be better. And going into their opening Scottish Championship game, we think they’ll cause the upset.
When we base it off league experience, and the fact that Queens Park have been in the second-tier for the last two seasons, they should be our favourites for this game. But Falkirk are running on full steam right now.
On Friday, Falkirk will be in front of a packed out home stadium, with fans eager to see the back in the Championship for the first time since their relegation in 2019. Queens Park are going to find it very difficult to get a hold of this fixture.
However, we do think that this will be a high scoring game. Both of these sides have scored over four goals each in their last two games each in the League Cup. Yes, this Friday will be their toughest test, but we’re also backing it to be high-scoring.
We're going for a Falkirk win on Friday, with over 2.5 goals scored in the match by both teams combined. Through our bookmakers, you can get odds of 2/1, with a £10 stake potentially returning £30.
This match will be shown live on BBC Scotland for viewers in the UK.
