Kilmarnock travel away to face Tromso in the semifinals of theEuropa Conference League qualifiers after a poor start to the season. They lost their opening Scottish Premiership game 4-0 at the hands of a very dominant Celtic side.
Kilmarnock Stats vs Celtic:
Away from home, Kilmarnock were extremely poor.
They then went on to get battered by St Johnstone in their second match. Losing 3-0 despite being the home side. Because of these results, they’re currently dead bottom of the Scottish top-flight, and will not be entering this game in high spirits.
This fixture is the second leg of the semi-final. Last time out, Kilmarnock were at home and managed to hold the Norwegian side to a 2-2 draw. However, now heading into another tough away fixture, their form isn’t looking too promising.
Kilmarnock vs Tromso stats last-time out:
Tromso have also not been a side to write home about either. However, with their home crowd watching on, we do think that Tromso will have the edge in this match. They’re also well-underway with their season, and much more in the process of competing week-in, week out.
The home side have also not played a match since the last game against Kilmarnock. After a week’s rest, they come into this game ready to go.
The first-leg was of course somewhat of a goals fest, but whoever comes out with the highest aggregate score in this game will be put through to the final. A chance to play in a European competition is on the line here, and neither side will want to create opportunities at the expense of leaving themselves defensively vulnerable.
We’re backing Tromso to win this match, and for there to be under 2.5 goals scored in total. Through our bookmakers, you can get odds of 11/4 on Quinnbet.
