Tottenham Hotspur continue their UEFA Europa League campaign this Thursday (3rd October 2024) as they travel to Hungary to take on Ferencváros TC at the Groupama Arena.
Tottenham Hotspur will be confident that they can come away with another win in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night taking on Hungarian side Ferencváros.
However following defeat in their last match in this competition Ferencváros will be keen to come away with something this time around. This though will be no easy test.
Ferencváros TC Predicted Lineup - Dénes Dibusz; Stefan Gartenmann, Ibrahim Cissé, Raul Gustavo, Eldar Ćivić; Habib Maïga, Mohammad Abu Fani; Adama Traoré, Mohamed Ali Ben Romdhane, Zsombor Gruber; Barnabás Varga
Ferencváros come into this game as heavy underdogs. They may have won every game in the Hungarian league so far this season but this is a step above that with a huge challenge facing Spurs in the Europa League.
And following defeat in their previous match in the competition against Anderlecht they will want to get back on track. This is not the game they would have hoped for to do that though.
However, they do score a lot of goals and concede very few. In the league they have managed twelve goals in six games only conceding two. Hopefully for their sake this can transfer over to this match.
Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup - Guglielmo Vicario; Djed Spence, Micky Van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro; James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Pape Matar Sarr, Brennan Johnson; Dominic Solanke, Timo Werner
Tottenham Hotspur have been in incredible form in recent weeks winning each of their last four games. This including a victory in their last Europa League match against Qarabag FK as well as a thumping victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford this past Sunday.
This will be a great opportunity to continue that form coming up against what is a considerably weaker team in Ferencváros. Anything other than a win will surely be seen as unacceptable for Ange Postecoglou.
This is set to be the first match that these two teams have played against one another. In fact Spurs have never faced opposition from the Nemzeti Bajnokság I before this match. Ferencváros on the other hand have quite a rich history against Premier League sides.
Ferencváros have played English teams eleven times in competitive matches. This dates back as far as the 1960s. In fact they have won five of those games and only lost four. Two games have ended in draws.
They also played West Ham in a friendly match in July. This game ended 2-2. Can they do a similar thing against Spurs in this game?
This should be an incredibly easy game for Tottenham to win. Considering the strength of their squad in comparison to Ferencváros as well as their incredible record as of late especially.
Ferencváros should cause no real threat to a Spurs victory in this match. Expect them to keep a clean sheet as well.
That is why our team of professional tipping experts are backing Tottenham Hotspur To Win To Nil as our best value tip for this fixture. At odds of 6/4, £10 has the potential to return up to £25.
(Odds subject to change)
Ferencváros TC 0-3 Tottenham Hotspur
An easy win for Ange Postecoglou’s side who continue their strong form as of late. There should be no real challenge for them in this game.
