So, after a rare exciting international break, we’re back to league action. That means we’re also back to predicting your favourite games across the world.
I’m taking a look at Saturday's game where Marco Silva’s Fulham side host Gary O’Neils Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Whilst Wolves may not have lost in three, right now is all about steadying the ship, as they sit 19th in the table.
Fulham on the other hand, will be chuffed to be sat 7th, just one point off the top four.
Fulham Predicted Line-up - Bernd Leno; Kenny Tete, Joachim Andersen, Calvin Bassey, Antonee Robinson; Sander Berge, Andreas Pereira; Alex Iwobi, Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson; Raul Jimenez
Fulham have been wildly impressive so far this season, and have started to control games against their opposition.
Although they fell to a draw against Everton, each of their last three matches have accompanied a dominant display from the Cottagers.
Whilst Harry Wilson is in fine scoring form for both club and country, we expect he’ll be left on the bench once more.
Wolverhampton Wanderers Predicted Line-up - Jose Sa; Santiago Bueno, Craig Dawson, Toti Gomes; Nelson Semedo, Mario Lemina, Joao Gomes, Rayan Ait-Nouri; Pablo Sarabia, Matheus Cunha; Jorgen Strand Larsen
Wolves had a torrid start to the season, and defeat after defeat saw fans calling for Gary O’Neil’s dismissal in the early stages.
That being said, they did amount to their first win of the season last time out against Southampton.
Everyone knows the threat Matheus Cunha poses in attack, and he’ll be looking to score for the second game running.
These two sides have met 26 times since 2003. Among them, Fulham have won four, and Wolverhampton Wanderers have won 13.
Nine matches have resulted in draws.
9th March 2024 - Wolves 2-1 Fulham - Premier League
27th November 2023 - Fulham 3-2 Wolves - Premier League
24th February 2023 - Fulham 1-1 Wolves - Premier League
13th August 2022 - Wolves 0-0 Fulham - Premier League
9th April 2021 - Fulham 0-1 Wolves - Premier League
It’s certainly not going to be any easy game for either side here. Fulham are playing well, but Wolves will be desperate to continue their positive momentum.
Given the tactical prowess we’ve seen from Marco Silva this season, I’d just about back the Cottagers to take this one, but it won’t be easy.
Overall we think the best bet to place for this game would be Fulham to win & both teams to score, backed up by our research.
Odds of 85/40 on PariMatch mean that a £10 bet has the potential to return up to £31.25 in this match.
(odds subject to change)
Fulham 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers
Both teams will have a good go, but Fulham should walk away with all three points.
Later that day, Manchester City face Tottenham Hotspur.
