As usual the favourites to control La Liga falls to Barcelona and Real Madrid. The bookies of course back them as the two favourites to win the league again. However what if we removed them from the equation?

And their business in the transfer market thus far hasn’t been too bad either. They have managed to snap up Euros star Robin La Normand from Real Sociedad as well as the second highest goalscorer in the league last season Alexander Sørloth to replace the departing Alvaro Morata.

Not only this but it seems as though they aren’t done in the window yet with heavy rumours circulating about them potentially bringing in Julian Alvarez from Manchester City as well as Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher.

Although they have lost players the replacements they have brought in have been fantastic and if they continue to strengthen before the transfer window is done it is hard to argue with them reclaiming that third place spot. Or maybe even putting up a challenge to Barcelona and Real Madrid at the top of the table.
