Leicester City vs Fulham Prediction

Fulham make the journey to the King Power Stadium for more Premier League action. The return to the Premier League has been far from great for Leicester City. With one win from their last ten attempts in the league, Leicester are in dire win of a win to keep their Premier League hopes alive. An Alex Iwobi brace was not enough for the Cottagers as they fell to West Ham in their last game. Still ninth in the table, Fulham are seven points away from a Europe Spot and dropping points against West Ham will have damaged their chances.

Key Stats

  • Neither team have been successful in keeping a clean sheet in their last five attempts
  • Fulham have only lost one of their last five games, while Leicester have lost four of their last five
  • Fulham have been victorious in the three most recent meetings against Leicester City

Team Previews, Form and Standout Players

Both teams are coming into this game off the back of a loss. Leicester were the better team but Crystal Palace were more clinical, took their chances where they came and left the King Power Stadium with all three points. Since taking over the Leicester job in late November, Ruud van Nistelroy has had a run of bad form mixed with a few difficult games. Within his first nine games in charge for the Foxes, van Nistelroy has only managed two wins and one draw across all competitions.

Marco Silva’s side enjoyed a brilliant run of nine games unbeaten, earning some big results by taking points off Liverpool and Arsenal. However, in their last game they were unsuccessful against West Ham and tasted defeat for the first time in over a month. Leaving the London Stadium with a 3-2 loss added to their record. Silva will be wondering why his squad squandered so many of their chances against the Hammers.

Leicester City Preview

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-Up: Stolarczyk; Kristiansen, Vestergaard, Faes, Justin; Skipp, Winks; Mavididi, El Khannouss, Buonanotte; Vardy

Leicester City would have hoped there return to the Premier League would have been a lot more marvellous than it has been. Currently sat 19th in the Premier League table Leicester have nestled into the relegation zone. However, they are involved in the relegation fight with only three points separating them from 16th place Everton.

Starting goalkeeper Mads Hermansen may potentially be back for this fixture but is still not 100 per cent fit after suffering a complicated groin injury that has seen him sidelined for a lot longer than expected. Striker Jamie Vardy has proved yet again that he has got it, Accumulating nine goal contributions for the Foxes so far this season. In true Vardy fashion, the 38-year-old has been a nightmare for the opposing team and van Nistelroy will need him to step up for this game.

Fulham Preview

Formation: 5-2-3

Predicted Line-Up: Leno; Robinson, Bassey, Anderson, Diop, Castagne; Smith Rowe, Lukić; Iwobi, Jimenez, Pereira

Fulham fans will be scratching their heads, wondering how they lost to West Ham midweek. Having more of the possession and having over five times the number of shots, it is incredible to think West Ham scored all three shots they had on target.

Alex Iwobi ensured his shooting boots were on, picking up a brace and taking his goal tally for the season up to seven. Silva wil be expecting another high-class performance from his winger, who has revamped his career since joining the Cottagers back in 2023. After rumours that Brazilian Andreas Pereira would be heading back to Brazil this transfer window, there were doubts as to whether he would play but Marco Silva has continued to show faith in his midfielder, and we expect him in the line-up for this game.

Head to Head Stats

Fulham have been victorious is four of the last five meetings between the two sides, with the Cottagers already defeating Leicester once in the league this season, sending the Foxes packing with a 2-1 win for Fulham.

Betting Tips

Fulham have shown tremendous attacking quality this season through Alex Iwobi and Raul Jimenez, and with Leicester without there first choice goalkeeper, this game could be a goal fest if Fulham are in the right form.

For this reason, our betting experts say Fulham to Win and Over 2.5 Goals is the best value tip for this game. With odds at 17/10, a bet of £10 could see a return of up £27.
