Ruben Amorim takes charge of his first home match as Manchester United manager on Thursday 28th November 2024 as the Red Devils take on FK Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League.
The UEFA Europa League campaign is truly heating up at the minute. Both sides currently sit in a playoff spot with a win here desperately needed if they are to advance automatically. This could be a big chance to pick up valuable points.
Manchester United Predicted Line Up - Andre Onana; Matthijs De Ligt, Lisandro Martinez, Noussair Mazraoui; Diogo Dalot, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount, Amad Diallo; Alejandro Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford
Manchester United have started their UEFA Europa League campaign with six points from four games. This having drawn three games and claiming a win against PAOK in the previous fixture. As one of the favourites to win the whole competition United will be desperate for a victory here. Especially in Amorim’s first European game in charge and his first game at home.
United are never short of goals. In the Europa League they have found the back of the net seven times so far. The issue comes with their goals conceded having let in five. However Andre Onana is in superb form with two clean sheets in the last three games. Will he get another here?
FK Bodø/Glimt Predicted Lineup - Nikita Khaikin; Fredrik André Bjørkan, Odin Lurås Bjørtuft, Villads Nielsen, Fredrik Sjøvold; Ulrik Saltnes, Patrick Berg, Håkon Evjen; Jens Petter Hauge, Kasper Høgh, Isak Dybvik Määttä
Bodø/Glimt have started their campaign claiming seven points leaving them in 12th position in the Europa League table. A win could break them into the automatic places and in dramatic fashion beating a big side like United. However a loss in their last tie against Qarabag will not bring them into this game with much hope.
Recently, in all competitions, Bodø/Glimt have been conceding a lot of goals. They have let in 10 goals in the last five games. In this competition they have conceded five in four. Their scoring record is good however against tougher opposition that are notably harder to break down, they may struggle to find the back of the net.
Believe it or not, Manchester United and Bodø/Glimt have never faced one another. This is the first fixture between them ever. But who will win?
This is bound to be an interesting game however with the strength of United and the added element of it being Amorim’s first home game we can’t help but feel the stronger side will win comfortably hee. And with the good defensive record of United at the moment we don’t expect them to concede.
We are backing Manchester United To Win To Nil in this game. And with odds of 11/10, £10 has the potential to return up to £21.
(Odds subject to change)
Manchester United 2-0 Bodø/Glimt
