It’s the battle of the relegation candidates in League Two as both of the bottom two sides in the division take on each other on the Football League Trophy.
Morecambe Predicted Line-up: Stuart Moore; David Tutonda, Jamie Stott, Rhys Williams, Luke Hendrie; Callum Jones, Tom White; Gwion Edwards, Adam Lewis, Ben Tollitt; Marcus Dackers
Morecambe have had one of the worst starts to the season in the entire EFL. They’ve won just two of their opening 15 games and therefore sit on just 10 points so far, dead bottom of the fourth tier.
However, a win on the weekend away at Harrogate Town will do wonders for their confidence going forward this season. In addition, this match will act as a great test for coming up against a possible relegation rival come the end of the campaign.
In that recent victory, it was defender Jamie Stott that stole the show with a man of the match performance. Alongside almost keeping a clean sheet, he won 13 duels, made 10 clearances and three clocks.
Carlisle United Predicted Line-up: Gabriel Breeze; Terell Thomas, Samuel Lavelle, Aaron Hayden; Jon James Alexander Mellish, Callum Guy, Harrison Neal, Tyler Burey; Luke Armstrong, Dominic Sadi; Daniel Adu-Adjei
Carlisle United have been all over the place this season. Switching to manager Mike Williamson could have seemed like a good idea at the time, but it has not gone well so far. The weekend’s win was his first in charge of the club after 10 games and they’re currently 23rd in the league.
In the trophy, it seems like this will probably be their last game in it this season. They’ve lost both of their opening games and will need to win by a three goal margin in this match if they’re to stand any chance of remaining.

We’re backing Morecmabe to win this match. Through our bookmakers, you can get odds of 5/4 with a £10 stake returning £22.50.
Morecambe have been the strongest side in Group Three so far and are at home. Carlisle United are not a very convincing side at all and could lose their cool with the chance to stay in the trophy on the line.
Morecambe 1-0 Carlisle United
There are also plenty more matches happening in the EFL Trophy on Tuesday, with Port Vale welcoming Wrexham.
