Norwich will be looking to rediscover their play-off ambitions as they welcome Swansea to Carrow Road.
Norwich City come into this game having lost 2-0 to Leeds United. The Canaries currently sit 12th in the Championship standings on 36 points, six points outside the play-off places. With two consecutive losses to Sheffield United and Leeds United, Johannes Hoff Thorup will be expecting a reaction from his side.
Swansea City have also lost two consecutive games, including a 3-1 loss to rivals Cardiff City. The Swans sit 15th in the Championship table with 34 points. A win against Norwich would see the Welsh side climb above their opponents, reaffirming their play-off hopes for the season.
Jack Stacey will be one to watch for this fixture. The Norwich fullback has registered five assists in 26 appearances this season.
Norwich City Predicted Line-up: Gunn, Stacey, Duffy, Doyle, Christine, Fisher, McClean, Marcondes, Crnmac, Hernandez, Dobbin
Norwich’s failure to find consistency as of late has led to their play-off aspirations taking a hit as the campaign progresses. Having finished 6th last season, many expected the Canaries to find themselves in a similar position. However, with nine wins from 28 matches, Norwich find themselves looking in from the outside.
Borja Sainz had been a revelation for Norwich this season, leading the division in goals with 15 in 26 appearances. However, the Spanish striker was suspended for six matches due to spitting at Sunderland’s Chris Mepham in December.
Norwich will be without Liam Gibbs and Josh Sargent due to injury. Borja Sainz will also be unavailable for selection.
Swansea Predicted Line-up: Vigouroux, Key, Cabango, Delcroix, Tymon, Franco, Grimes, Peart-Harris, Cullen, Ronald, Bianchini
Having failed to win their last four Championship fixtures, Swansea City supporters will be wanting to see immediate change in performances if they wish to get their season back on track. The Swans have stagnated in the last few years with hopes of getting back to the heights of the Premier League looking like more of a dream than a possibility.
Despite the recent results a win against Norwich would see Luke Williams’ side climb into the top half of the table, potentially just four points off the play-off places.
Swansea are expected to have no injuries heading into the fixture but will miss Harry Darling through suspension.
Swansea have lost just one of the last five meetings with Norwich. The Swans have won three, drawn once and lost once during this period.
Swansea have failed to score in their last three away games and have conceded an average of three goals. Norwich on the other hand have won seven first half wins this season.
