Inter Milan were crowned champions of Italy last season and now have the job of retaining their title but other teams are still in the mix for the Scudetto next season. With an interesting transfer window and multiple managerial moves, this is an interesting one to predict.
As champions, Internazionale are heavily favoured to do it again. Their biggest threat is Lautaro Martinez who won the Serie A golden boot as well as the Copa America golden boot. Winning back to back titles for the first time since they won four in a row in 2010 could be a tall order and with all the clubs arounf them changing managers, there is an unpredictable edge to this season.
Juventus may have scraped Champions League Football last season but one change may bring glory back to Turin. By bringing in Thiago Motta, Juve have stolen Italian Football's brightest managerial prospect after getting Bologna into the Champions League. Motta surprised everything when saying he played a 2-7-2 formation as he viewed the pitch from left to right instead of bottom to top.
AC Milan fans weren't pleased with manager Stefano Poili last season after allowing fierce rivals Internazionale to win the Scudetto instead of them. After five years at the San Siro, Pioli decided to leave, allowing Milan to bring in Paulo Fonseca. After two years at Lille, the Portuguese manager has rejoined the Serie A, however, his track record isn't exactly the trophy-laden career Milan fans would have hoped.
We are going with Juventus for this one, despite not being the favourites with the bookies we believe that the appointment of Thiago Motta into a far better squad will see Juve soar to the top of the table and reclaim their crown against the odds.
