As we come to the end of a great weekend, and the return of club football, there’s still plenty of exciting games to consider for your bets.
I’m taking a look at Sunday's game where Luke Williams’ Swansea host Daniel Farke’s Leeds.
Leeds will be somewhat disappointed sitting in fourth prior to this game, they expected to win the title this year.
Swansea will feel they can push on up the table from 14th.
Swansea City Predicted Line-up - Lawrence Vigouroux; Josh Key, Ben Cabango, Harry Darling, Josh Tymon; Matt Grimes, Goncalo Franco, Myles Peart-Harris, Joe Allen, Ronald Pereira; Liam Cullen
Swansea, although initially disappointing, have shown real promise in recent weeks.
They were unlucky not to secure a draw away at Burnley, if not for a stoppage time penalty.
Liam Cullen was excellent over the international break, he was involved in four goals for Wales in one match.
Leeds United Predicted Line-up - Ilian Meslier; Jayden Bogle, Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Sam Byram; Joe Rothwell, Ao Tanaka; Wilfried Gnonto, Brenden Aaronson, Manor Solomon; Joel Piroe
Leeds haven’t truly lived up to expectations this season, and sit fourth in the Championship table.
That being said, they do have a really exciting squad, so might push on in the later stages of the season.
Former Swansea man Joel Piroe will be looking to notch against his old club.
In these sides last five meetings, Leeds United have won four, Swansea have won one.
13th February 2024 - Swansea 0-4 Leeds - Championship
29th November 2023 - Leeds 3-1 Swansea - Championship
12th July 2020 - Swansea 0-1 Leeds - Championship
31st August 2019 Leeds 0-1 Swansea - Championship
13th February 2019 - Leeds 2-1 Swansea - Championship
Whilst Leeds were the favourites for the title earlier in the season, I think they’re in for a very tough game here.
They’ve been poor in recent weeks, and Swansea won’t roll over like QPR did last time they played.
Overall we think the best bet to place for this game would be Swansea win or draw & BTTS, backed up by our research.
Odds of 12/5 on BetFred mean that a £10 bet has the potential to return up to £34 in this match.
(odds subject to change)
Swansea City 2-2 Leeds United
An exciting game is right ahead of us, and I think it could end in a stalemate.
Later that day, Nantes face Le Havre.
