This Sunday’s Premier League clash sees Liverpool make the trip to face West Ham United at the London Stadium. It is a crucial match for the travelling side as they have the opportunity to extend their lead at the top of the table to 10 points with a win and results going their way.
Liverpool come into this game in flying form, top of the Premier League table with a gap of four points to second place. They have just comeback to beat Leicester 3-1 on Boxing Day, smashed Spurs 3-6 on the road in their last away game and Mo Salah looks to be in impeccable form as always. The home side in this match, West Ham also picked up three points on Thursday as they beat bottom of the league side Southampton 0-1 curtesy of a goal from captain Jarrod Bowen. The East London club will try to continue that result into making good form, but Liverpool are certainly not the team that they would have wanted to come up to try and do that. This Sunday will be a tough match for West Ham.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-Up: Alfonso Areola; Emerson, Max Kilman, Konstantinos Mavropanos, Aaron Wan-Bissaka; Guido Rodríguez, Edson Álvarez; Mohammed Kudus, Lucas Paquetá, Jarrod Bowen (c); Niclas Füllkrug
West Ham United have had an average start to the season, finding themselves in the just outside the top half of the table. After 18 games they sit in 13th place with six wins, seven losses and five draws. Those matches have left them with 23 points, sharing that tally with two fellow London clubs in Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford but it is goal difference, and the fact that Brentford are yet to play Brighton as this is being written that leaves them lower down the standings. Stepping up this season and donning the captain’s armband, Jarrod Bowen is having a good season with The Hammers being able to rely on him to find his name on the scoresheet. He has nine goal contributions to his name, split into five goals and four assists. His teammate on the other side of the pitch, Mohammed Kudus is West Ham’s next best contributor with four, a credit to how well Bowen has been doing. He will have to step up in this difficult challenge this Sunday, trying to snatch some points away from a seemingly unbeatable Liverpool side.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Predicted Line-Up: Alisson; Andy Robertson, Virgil Van Dijk (c), Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold; Alexis Mac Allister, Ryan Gravenberch; Cody Gakpo, Curtis Jones, Mohamed Salah; Luis Díaz
Liverpool have had an excellent start to the season, finding themselves as league leaders so early on in the campaign. After 17 games they sit in first place with 13 wins, one loss and three draws. Those matches have left them with 39 points, holding a seven point gap to second placed Chelsea and with a game in hand due to the postponement of the Merseyside derby. In the goals for The Reds has been the unstoppable force of Mohamed Salah, having a Balon D’Or worthy season. The Egyptian has found the back of the net 16 times this season, the highest tally out of all the players in the Premier League. It hasn’t just been the spectacular goal output for Salah like it usually is, but Salah has been a provider for 10 assists to his teammates. He broke records once more, becoming the first player in Premier League history to reach double digits in goals and assists before Christmas Day. He cannot avoid being the star of the show and that should be no different against West Ham in this Sunday evening’s action.
The last five faceoffs have been split in the favour of Liverpool, winning four and drawing once. This Sunday should keep it that way as Liverpool have only lost once this season, still performing at the highest level from day one of the campaign.

Liverpool are flying in the Premier League standings at the moment, and it doesn't seem like they can be beaten. Impressive performances from Mo Salah and the rest of the Liverpool players make it difficult not to root against them.
For that reason, our betting experts have gone with Liverpool To Win + Both Teams To Score as our best value tip for this game.
Odds of 31/20 mean that a £10 bet has the potential to return up to £25 in this match.
(odds subject to change)
West Ham United 1-3 Liverpool
Liverpool are still continuing the incredible form that have been producing, a thrashing of Tottenham two weekends ago and an inspired comeback against Leicester City on Boxing Day. It’s difficult to say that Liverpool would be heading home without all three points.
