York City vs Rochdale is a game that could be one of the highest valued in the world for Tuesday’s fixtures. We’re backing a draw and both teams are scoring, here’s why.
Both of these clubs have started the season in a decent manner. York started by drawing away to Southend before beating Tamworth at home on the weekend. Rochdale meanwhile, won their opening fixture against Boston United before drawing to Daggenham & Redbridge last time out.
In all four of these games, York and Rochdale have found the back of the net. York, now under the management of highly rated Adam Hinshelwood, will be progressing into an attacking style of football that was seen at his former club Worthing. Meanwhile, Rochdale are one of if not the biggest club currently in the National League, having dropped down from League Two in 2023.
Rochdale also showed their impressie scoring power in a pre-season friendly against League Two’s Salford City in the summer, when they won 5-2. York picked up some strong results against 4th tier quality sides also. Such as a 2-1 win over Grimsby Town, and a 2-2 draw with Notts County.
Both of these sides have one of the most threatening attacks in the division, but there’s hardly anything to pick them apart.
We’re backing a full-time draw between these clubs, and for both of them to score. Through our bookmakers, you can get odds of 7/2 which would return a whopping £45 from a £10 bet.
