All you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy!
Where better to start than with the British record breaking transfer of Liverpool's graceful German Florian Wirtz.
Off the back of a fairly straightforward Premier League triumph Liverpool were always going to go big in the market and the former Bayer Leverkusen starlet was one that had been brewing for a while.

The best player in the best season in club history - a Bayer Leverkusen legend!
Thank you, Flo! pic.twitter.com/NRH9MEq4zH
Wirtz has emerged as one of the most technically gifted number 10's in world football over the past few seasons and although his arrival may require a slight tactical tweak for Arne Slot, there is no doubt Wirtz will be tearing through Premier League backlines before we know it.
With silky off the ball movement, excellent ability in tight areas and an eye for line breaking passes- expect Florian Wirtz to light up Liverpool's forward line and get the kop serenading his name in no time.
From a man looking to endear himself to the Anfield faithful to one who did... shall we say... quite the opposite in this transfer window
Alexander-Arnold caused quite a stir at his boyhood club after deciding to not renew his contract, instead running it down and leaving on a free transfer to Real Madrid.
Liverpool weren't particularly enamoured with his decision to leave under circumstance which provided no compensation to the club which had paved his career and made it be known during the closing stages of the season.
Real Madrid’s transfer strategy is downright diabolical. They throw money at you first. If you say no, they just wait and snatch your player for free. Ruthless. pic.twitter.com/uffBoBt201

However, for Real Madrid, their strategy of using their pull to make players run down their contracts before signing them on a free paid off once again.
Right Back had been a troubled position for the Spanish side with an ageing Dani Carvajal marking their most plausible option.
And the coup of one of the best in the world for, well, peanuts is one which vastly improves their squad as they face another tough battle with Barcelona next season.
Sticking with the theme of Los Blancos and another foray into the Premier League market saw them raid Bournemouth for wonderkid centre back Dean Huijsen.
Huijsen emerged as a worldwide commodity after a hugely impressive season for the Cherries last camapign after only signing for the club the previous summer.
Dean Huijsen’s a revelation at Real Madrid. 20-year-old, 6’5”, two-footed centre-back. Technical, physical, smart; fits Xabi Alonso’s system like a glove. Let’s dive into his tactical profile, stats, and role.

An extremely unique profile with excellent ball progressing and carrying skills make him an absolute menace in breaking through an opposition press, not to mention his prominence in the traditional centre back qualities as well. Dean Huijsen is a special player.
With Juventus letting him leave the club for just £16m merely two years ago, before strangely replacing him with Newcastle backup Lloyd Kelly for £20m, I think it is fair to say the Italian club are definitely the biggest losers with Huijsen's rise to stardom...
Has there been a more documented footballing story than Arsenal's need for a striker over the past year? I don't think so.
But, finally, it would appear they have solved that issue.
Although not entirely confirmed and with a ongoing saga all because of a supposedly unfulfilled 'Gentleman's agreement'- it looks almost a certainty that Arsenal will get their man in the end.
The only thing that may worry the Gunners a little is that, during this saga, Gyokeres has decided not to turn up to training for Sporting as he tries to force a move... not really what you want to be hearing about your marquee signing is it?
Arsenal are still finalising a deal to sign Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres 📝

The clubs reached an agreement over a fixed fee of £55m on Sunday, with Arsenal being expected to pay £8.5m in add-ons,and negotiations this week have been around conditions of bonus payments 💼 pic.twitter.com/kuHatoWokB
Putting that aside though, Arsenal are signing an absolute goal machine. 97 goals in 102 games for the Portuguese side provides a staggering reminder of just what Gyokeres could be capable of.
The key word there is COULD as we are unable to confidently say whether that form will translate to the Premier League- but with that many goals, its hard to not see him scoring at least some.
Arteta will likely tweak the system due to the difference in profile from usual frontman Kai Havertz and Arsenal will be hoping that Gyokeres can be the piece in the puzzle that gets them that illusive Premier League title.
With the quite frankly abhorrent season that Manchester United had last season there was (and is still) a desperate need for something to cheer about.
That something came in the form of a big money move for Wolves' star man Matheus Cunha.
With a clear focus on bolstering the frontline and using proven Premier League quality to do so, Cunha fits the bill.
Double figures in his last two seasons for his previous club alongside a Brazilian flair which makes him a maverick on the pitch, someone was going to sign him- it was just a question of who.

If Manchester United can pair him up with Bryan Mbeumo, who we'll talk about later, they could be on for a seriously scary attack next season.
But either way, Cunha provides them with some much needed firepower as they look to pick up the broken pieces heading into next season.
Manchester City struggled in midfield last season, the absence of Rodri didn't help but there was something more to it than that.
A lack of creativity, a lack of presence.
Well, what better way to fix that than with Tijani Reijnders...
Fast, strong, technical, an elite progressive passer, does the dirty work too. What's not to love?
Tijjani Reijnders was named after former Super Eagles and Ajax forward Tijani Babangida.

He has no ties to the nation of Nigeria, his parents were just huge Ajax fans and loved the name 😂🇳🇬 pic.twitter.com/3eRcDknZi9
Spent the last two seasons playing in a AC Milan side that struggled at times, and there's a reason he was a standout, fan favourite.
This transfer might go under the radar a bit, some people may even wonder why it is in the 'big moves' section of this article. All i'll say is just you wait.
From one Premier League midfield signing to another.
Martin Zubimendi has been teasing a Premier League move for ages.
From looking all but confirmed at Liverpool before deciding he wanted to stay at Sociedad another season, to being teetering on the edge of confirmation at Arsenal for what seems like forever.
But, Zubimendi is now a Premier League Player, and he could be big for Arsenal.
Zubimendi is more than just a passer. Think of Vitinha's movement to provide midfield fluidity at PSG.
— Kevin William (@kevinbahasbola) July 14, 2025
Definitely a much better profile than Partey.
Zubi wall pass with Rice/Merino whilst occupying each other previous zone. I'm so ready.pic.twitter.com/6k9hzjmZGv
The system tweak already mentioned around Gyokeres could be facilitated by Zubimendi. Likely providing the anchor point to Arsenal's midfield to release creativity elsewhere- you could even bracket the Spaniard as 'Rodri 2.0' and you wouldn't be wholly incorrect.
Paying £60m for any player these days is almost considered modest, but to do so for a player in such a sought after position who excels in his craft is almost unheard of.
Arsenal have themselves a great deal here.
If anybody happened to watch Chelsea's Club World Cup run then you'll already know about this transfer.
Joao Pedro showed up, having barely even stepped foot in Chelsea's training ground before the tournament, and balled out a if he'd been with the squad for years.

— Troll Football (@TrollFootball) July 16, 2025
There is a reason he was so sought after and for the price tag on his head we could be looking at a bargain come the end of next season.
Joao Pedro has spent a lot of his career sitting on the fence between profile's with nobody really able to figure out what he is.
But none of that really matters if you are as good as him.
A technical number 10, out-and-out number 9, false 9, even a wide player, Joao Pedro can do it all- which is likely why he was so sought after.
Enzo Maresca and Chelsea finally seem to be building a cohesive, system playing squad and Joao Pedro is just the latest piece in that puzzle.
So here's the story...
Liverpool want Isak, Newcastle don't want to sell Isak. Newcastle want Ekitike, if Liverpool can't have Isak they want to take Ekitike from Newcastle.
Still following?
Liverpool have been given a hard no by Newcastle over the potential sale of Isak which means that Liverpool are now actively pursuing Hugo Ekitike, and it looks as if Newcastle have now decided to pursue other options as Liverpool's Ekitike talks are progressing well.
And Breathe...
So:

- Liverpool now have to pay over £80m for a player they don’t really want and 100% of their fans would swap him for Alex.
- Newcastle will still sign a second striker but have also kept the best striker in the world.
Can someone tell me how we’ve “been played”? #NUFC
As i just mentioned, Newcastle are pursuing other options- who might that be you ask?
You guessed it... Yoane Wissa.
🚨🇨🇩 Newcastle expected to accelerate interest in Brentford's Yoane Wissa (28) in the next 24 hours, reports @SamiMokbel_BBC. 🔜 pic.twitter.com/j0Y6HfUmyd
— EuroFoot (@eurofootcom) July 17, 2025
The Brentford man is a very sought after currency this summer with multiple clubs including Spurs sniffing around him.
This comes off the back of a monstrous 20 goal season which sees the 28-year-old now valued at around £50m.
Newcastle's interest comes as it now appears Ekitike will be off to Liverpool and Eddie Howe appears to want to play with two up front next season. Spurs' interest stems from Thomas Frank who is Wissa's former manager.
Wissa's immediate future likely rides heavily on the outcome of Bryan Mbeumo's saga, who we will talk about next. Brentford who are already in a transitional period after losing their boss to Spurs will not want to lose their two best players in the same window.
Otherwise it could be a painfully long season for them next campaign...
This one can't really be classed as a rumour anymore can it?
What is now over a month on from Manchester United's initial interest in the player, bear in mind Mbeumo has told the club he wants to sign for them in that period, and it seems we are still no closer to a fee being agreed.
🚨💣 BREAKING: Bryan Mbeumo to Manchester United, here we go!
— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) July 18, 2025
Green light from Brentford and club to club agreement reached for £70m package, as @TheAthleticFC reports.
Contract agreed weeks ago with Mbeumo as he only wanted Man United move.
After Cunha, Mbeumo next for #MUFC. pic.twitter.com/BUjhywXeSS
The understanding is Manchester United are currently in the £60-65m range, Brentford are holding out for the £70m they believe he is worth and, rightfully so, don't want to budge on that number.
It's like a good old fashioned western standoff, only United forgot to load their gun properly...
It can't go on like this can it?
Well, as the wise Mick McCarthy one said: It can.
Can someone tell Liverpool to just calm down please?
Having already broken the British transfer record, attempted to do it again before pursuing an £80m player instead, to now being linked with Real Madrid winger Rodrygo for £87m.
When will it end...
Rodrygo is considered a SERIOUS REPLACEMENT for Luis Diaz should Liverpool decide to sell their left-winger 🇧🇷👀 pic.twitter.com/LHfUCZwm1z
— LiveScore (@livescore) July 18, 2025
Real Madrid have made it known that they will listen to offer for their wide-man in this window with the initial rumour linking the Brazilian to Arsenal.
However, with Madueke through the door and the Eze deal appearing Arsenal's main priority the focus has shifted to Liverpool as the frontrunner.
With Luis Diaz heavily linked with a £85m move to Saudi arabia and Barcelona respectively, an opportunity may well open up for Liverpool to further strengthen.
Manchester City have also been linked with a swoop for the player likely fuelled by the talk of a Jack Grealish outgoing but as of now Liverpool would appear to be the emerging leaders.
Having already turned down an approach from Bayern Munich this summer it initially appeared Liverpool were reluctant to sell.
And whilst that still is the case, Luis Diaz has now made it clear of his desire to leave the reds and take on a new challenge.
A host of Saudi Arabian clubs have been circling the Colombian but after Liverpool and Newcastle's spat over Isak, and the PIF having large influence in a lot of Saudi clubs, that would now appear in Jeopardy due to PIF's reluctance to put money in Liverpool's pocket.
Luis Diaz is such a weird one. Really good player, great team ethic, but not close to world-class and can frustrate.
— Henry Jackson (@HenryJackson87) July 18, 2025
Would be happy to keep him, but won't really be at all bothered to see him leave.
Instead Barcelona looks to be the most plausible destination with the Catalan club reportedly waiting to see how Liverpool's pursuit of Rodrygo unfolds before making any active movements for the player.
With a release clause of £68m in his contract at Palace, Eze has been hot property so far in this window.
A battle of North London has ensued with both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal looking to land a deal for the 27-year-old. With Spurs having just signed Mohammed Kudus and a Morgan Gibbs-white deal appearing imminent Arsenal look to be in the driving seat.

Eze would add great depth and Quality to Arsenal and Arteta has shown admiration for the forward before with interest in previous seasons making this deal all the more possible in the coming weeks.
Gibbs-White has to be classed as a rumour because despite the deal literally being done, a certain angry Greek man by the name of Marinakis, is doing his best to prevent it from happening.
The Nottingham Forest owner has taken legal action against Spurs for reportedly 'tapping-up' the player despite him having a known release clause in his contract.

This one will likely be completed by the end of the window with the current legal proceedings suggesting a ruling in favour of Tottenham Hotspur getting the deal over the line...
We just might have to wait a little bit longer for confirmation that first expected.
This one appears to be very early stages but Manchester United have shown an interest in tabling a deal, something which Chelsea replied to by slapping a £100m price tag on Jackson...
Not exactly very friendly that is it.

Jackson's minutes appear to be in jeopardy going into next season with both Joao Pedro and Liam Delap being signed and likely jumping ahead of him in the pecking order.
With United still having both Hojlund and Zirkzee, the actual extent of this interest in Jackson is yet to be revealed but it could be one to watch over the next few weeks as the season draws nearer.
The young winger arrives from Dortmund with a reputation for being quick, direct and an absolute nuisance to defenders. With the loss of Madueke Chelsea wanted a replacement, and they've got exactly that. One to Watch Next season.
The former West Ham man heads from the East to North-London to Join newly appointed Thomas Frank. With the flair and ability in transition the Frank likes from his wingers, a little bit of coaching on the defensive side and Kudus could be a real problem next season.
Filling a well documented hole, Eddie Howe has signed a player who fits his system perfectly. With pace to burn, a hunger for setting up his teammates and a menace in transition- Elanga is well placed to challenge Jacob Murphy for that right wing spot
When Cherki was available for such a modest price, it is no surprise a big club swooped for his services. Cherki has the flair and ability to hold a candle to any player in the world. Put him in what looks to be a less robotic Pep system next season, and the former Lyon man could thrive in the Premier League.
Juventus may have been criticised for their busienss in recent windows but nobody can deny this is a great signing. David has been putting up numbers for Lille for years now and seeing him free on the market made Juve's eyes light up. A big signing for the Italian club as they look to rebuild.
The 23-year-old Spaniard joins domestically from Villarreal and comes with a pedigree too. A strong creative and technical midfielder with excellent playmaking abilities. Diego Simeone has his work cut out to challenge of La Liga again, but Baena could be a massive help with that ambition.
A flying fullback pairing who both bring high octane intensity to Arne Slot's side. Frimpong coming off the back of an excellent stitnt at Bayer Leverkusen will have his work cut out to replace Trent, but his creative prowess can't be undermined. Kerkez brings a more solid defensive presence alongside that attacking talent and will hope to continue his form from last season at his new club.
One of the most exciting young fullbacks in world football. At Benfica, Carreras excelled both going forward and defensively with his all round consistency gaining massive plaudits across the world. Now heading to Madrid, the spotlight is much larger but Carreras looks poised to step into it with no problems.
