Every Premier League Team's Season-So-Far GRADED

After 10 games of the season, we have seen some teams excel and some teams underperform now we will look at what grade each of the teams have earned this season, see who is passing and who is failing.

Bournemouth - B+

Bournemouth have had a great start to the season especially after losing 3 of their star defenders from last season. The Cherries have been a very strong side this season with their main man now being Semenyo who has already accumulated 9 g/a. This season they sit in 5th place with 5 more points than what they had this time last year; they definitely deserve this B+ especially after the struggle they had in the transfer window.

Arsenal - A

The team that sits at the top of the table deserves an A. While they haven’t been as free scoring as some might have hoped especially after signing Viktor Gyokeres, they have still been able to get the job done. Although, they don’t need to score many goals this season as they seem impossible to score against. Teams no longer look at the London club wondering how they will beat them, now it’s ‘how will we score against them’. Arsenal is definitely giving themselves a very strong chance at winning the league.

Aston Villa - D

I’m sure Villa fans haven’t been very happy about the start too the season so far, especially the first 5 games where they couldn’t find a win or even a goal. While they have started to find their feet now winning 4 out of the last 5 Premier league games, they still only find themselves in 11th. Comparing this to last season where they were sat in 6t. Having only lost Ramsey this season I’m sure Villa fans thought the team would be up and around the spots for Europe competing with the ‘big 6’ however, this hasn’t been the truth yet.

Brentford - B

The bees are doing well this season especially considering the problems that they came into the season with. Like Bournemouth they lost a lot of key players this summer however, the biggest difference Brentford had was losing manager Thomas Frank. As a result of that loss set piece coach Keith Andrews was appointed as the manager and he has made the team work. The team has been very compact and resilient when defending and this has allowed them to get some very strong results. The big ones include the win against Liverpool and Manchester United.

Brighton - C

The Seagull’s have had a positive start to the season sitting 10th on 15 points only a point behind where they were last season. However, they have struggled with consistency this season. While they have picked up some big wins against Chelsea and Manchester City, they have lost points in games they believe they should’ve gotten more. While they did lose Pedro and Estupinan, they kept hold of key midfielder Baleba. With this they would’ve hoped for more.

Burnley - C

As expected from most newly promoted teams they are struggling a bit with the difficulty of the English topflight. However, they have been given a C as they are currently sitting outside the relegation zone 3 points safe. Something that most newly promoted teams would be hoping for after the first 10 games. At this point last season 2 out of the 3 promoted teams were in the relegation zone, so being safe is an achievement.

Chelsea - C+

It’s been an interesting start for the world champions as they sit 7th in the league. The fans would’ve hoped for more especially after winning the club world cup, but it hasn’t all been bad with some very big results for the blues. The main issue that they are finding this season is ending a game with 11 men still on the pitch. Having picked up 3 red cards already this season and even Enzo Maressca picking up a red, they have struggled with discipline. However, they still only sit with one less point than last season, so a C+ seems like a fitting grade.

Crystal Palace - B

Palace have had a very strong start to the season even being the last team in the league to lose a game. They have been a very hard team to break down and have been able to score while doing this. Many people had wondered how they would do this season after losing Eze as well as playing in Europe, but this doesn’t have seemed to have effected Glasner. The Eagles have done well this season sitting in 10th 7 places higher than last season and will hope to keep pushing on.

Everton - C

The Toffee’s have been a good team so far this season and have looked to introduce their new stadium to the league in impressive way. This is shown when looking at their form, very strong at home but poor away having only won 1 away game so far this season. These mixed results have damaged what could’ve been a potentially great start to the season as they sit 14th 3 places higher than last season. If they start picking up points away this grade can definitely shoot up along side them.

Fulham - C

It’s been an interesting season for Fulham so far. They have faced some strong team in the first 10 games of the season, and this has been showed by the points that they have racked up however, I’m sure the fans expected them to have walked away with more than 11 points after 10 games. Especially when they were sat 9th last season with 4 more points. The main issue Fulham currently have is a lack of confidence after 4 straight losses in the league while they did pick up a win against Wolves, they next face Everton away and away games have been something they have struggled with having to win one yet.

Leeds United - C-

Like Burnley, Leeds will be happy to be outside the relegation zone after the first 10 games. However, after a busy summer window, they might have expected more. Although I’m sure they are happy especially being 4 points safe. The fact that they sit outside the relegation zone has earned them a C-. However, this could change especially if their goal scoring keeps at the same level, it currently is.

Liverpool - C

After the summer transfer window that Liverpool had most people had them as the nailed-on favourites to win the league again. However, they just haven’t clicked this season, and while they sit 3rd being 7 points behind where you would want to be isn’t ideal. Being 7 points behind is especially damaging when looking at Liverpool’s form having only won 1 in their last 5 league games losing the rest. Many Liverpool fans will hope that the game against Villa will set them back on track, but these 7 points could have already damaged their chances massively.

Manchester City - B

Definitely not as strong a start as last season, but they haven’t had Rodri for many of their games this season and his absence is still being shown. Once again sat in second after match week 10 but this time 4 points behind what they had last season. If City manage to close the gap on Arsenal later in the season they could look back at the games against Spurs and Brighton for the reason why they couldn’t beat them as these 2 game City would’ve hoped to be walking away with at least a point. However, the biggest fear City currently have is if Haaland gets injured. Only 6 players have scored for them this season, 5 of them only have 1 goal.

### Manchester United - D One of the hardest teams to predict in the league this season. They currently sit 5 places higher than last season, however, have still not looked completely convincing. While they have looked much better than last season after the money spent in the summer fans would’ve hoped for a bit more consistency. They have still been shown to have that weakness of last season. However, 4 games without losing can’t be overlooked. Therefore, a C seems like a fitting grade for the Red Devils.

Newcastle United - D

Newcastle have had a very up and down season so far and have looked good especially after losing Alexander Isak. However, with the money spent on the new forwards they would expect to be doing better than what they are currently doing. Having faced 3 out of the ‘big 6’ already, this could improve but they just haven’t been able to find that cutting edge yet only scoring 11 goals. They see themselves 3 points behind where they are last season this could be seen as a harsh grade, but they haven’t been able to sling together 3 wins in a row, so their momentum isn’t their yet. So far, a disappointing start to the season for Newcastle.

Nottingham Forest – F

What has happened to Forest this season. After such a good and strong previous season, they would’ve hoped to keep pushing and challenging for the spots in Europe. However, they just haven’t been able to, and this is shown especially in the managerial position where in the first 10 games they have seen 3 different managers. This could be part of the poor start to the season as constantly changing tactics can damage a team. However, dropping 16 positions from last season will only ever earn you one grade and that is an F.

Sunderland – A

Who would’ve seen this coming? A newly promoted team sitting in 4th with the joint second-best defence in the league. Sunderland have been absolutely phenomenal this season being able to go head-to-head and beat strong Premier league teams with the win against Chelsea the hight of this. While they did have a busy transfer window, the business they did was absolutely amazing and has paid off. Sunderland have also shown that old fashioned tactics still work especially long throw ins with many clubs now trying to copy this. They definitely deserve this A.

Tottenham Hotspur – C

The London club sits in 6th place 1 spot higher than last season and 1 point better off. However, one of the big differences that has been seen this season is how much their defence has improved this season being one of the teams to have only conceded 8 goals. The main issue that they have found this season is playing at home having only won a single game at home this season. For any team this would be worrying, however, their away form has been rock solid so a C seems fitting for them.

West Ham United – F

West Ham see themselves sat 5 spots lower than last season and have only won 2 games so far this season. While they did lose Kudus this summer, they have still kept 2 of their star attackers in Bowen and Paqueta but these 2 just haven’t been able to produce enough for the Irons to be dangerous and the other side of the pitch has been very poor having conceded 21 goals this season already. Many fans will be very unhappy with how the team is playing and would’ve hoped and expected a lot more from them.

Wolves – F

Wolves have definitely been the worst team so far in the league. It took them 6 games before they managed to get a point on the bored this season however, since then they have only been able to add one more point. After 10 games they are yet to have seen a win and have only scored 7 goals. At both ends of the pitch they have been poor and are definitely looking like the favourites to go down this season. A F is the only grade that they can be given this season.
