Your FPL Guide For GW3

Gamwweek three of the 26/27 Premier League season is just days away, with more shocks, drama and individual brilliance all expected as the season begins to properly heat up.
And ahead of the latest round of fixtures, here is the ultimate guide for Fantasy Premier League to help you gain the most amount of points possible in this round of matches.
What Teams To Look Out For This Gameweek
Newcastle United

Many felt Newcastle United would be in for a tough season after a summer that saw manager Eddie Howe leave alongside star players Sandro Tonali, Anthony Gordon and captain Bruno Guimarães. However new manager Matthias Jaissle, in the early days at least, seems to have been an inspired appointment.
The 38 year-old German coach arrived from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ahli and faced one of the biggest challenges of any Premier League manager ahead of the new campaign, due to the exits of star players, struggles bringing new players into the club and a tough start to the season with Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in the opening two fixtures.
However, the German has started his time on Tyneside in superb fashion, drawing with Liverpool on the opening day and being minutes away from claiming victory if not for a last-gasp penalty, and defeated Tottenham in North London.
It's been a bright start for the Magpies, and with last season's big signings Yoane Wissa and Anthony Elanga starting the season in fine form after struggling in their first campaign in black and white, Newcastle could be set for a much better season than expected.
Their gameweek three match sees them return to St. James Park as they host AFC Bournemouth on Saturday lunchtime, who have struggled themselves under their new coach Marco Rose with one point from the opening two matches.
Manchester City

Enzo Maresca has two wins from two for Manchester City, with their comfortable dismantling of Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park being followed by a deadline day which saw City once more break their transfer record with the £125 million addition of Enzo Fernandez from Chelsea.
And Maresca's side will look to make it three wins from three as they host newly promoted Coventry at the Etihad Stadium, with Frank Lampard's side yet to pick up a point after losing at home to fellow newly promoted team Hull City in gameweek two.
Brentford

Brentford have defied the odds since their promotion to the Premier League in 2022, and the early days of the new season have shown that it may be happening again this season.
Keith Andrews' side comfortably dispatched Tottenham on the opening day at the GTech Community Stadium in one of the most impressive performances of the opening weekend of the new season, before gaining a point away at Elland Road in gameweek two.
The Bees return home to face Sunderland this weekend, who have one win and one loss from their first two matches.
What Players Should You Consider Transferring In?
Rayan Cherki
French attacking midfielder Rayan Cherki arrived at Manchester City last season and enjoyed a fine first season in the Premier League after arriving from Lyon, scoring 11 goals and assisting 17 in all compeitions.
But this season, early signs suggest the 23 year-old could be going up another level in his second term in England.
The Frenchman has begun the new season on fire, scoring two and assisting two in the opening two fixutres of the season, including a Man of the Match performance away at Crystal Palace.
With City in a transition period following the departure of Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva, John Stones and Rodri, extra pressure will be on Cherki to help provide the spark in attack, and so far it is seeming like he is doing just that.
The midfielder is currently priced at £7.7 million on FPL, making him a no-brainer transfer in his current form.
Yoane Wissa
It's fair to say Yoanne Wissa's first season at Newcastle after moving from Brentford went about as badly as it could have gone for the striker, as he scored just three league goals throughout the campaign. However, the new season began with Wissa looking like a new player.
The now-30-year-old starred in the opening game against Liverpool, assisting Joe Willock's goal to put Newcastle 2-1 up, and was just as good in the following week at Tottenham, scoring the second goal with a brilliantly improvised overhead kick to settle the game and give Newcastle the win.
At £6 million, he could be worth a punt given his early season form.
Who Should You Consider Captaining?
Erling Haaland

An obvious shout perhaps, but with struggling Coventry City heading to the Etihad Stadium, if Manchester City's Erling Haaland is not already the captain for your side then giving the Norwegian striker the armband for this round of fixtures should be a move to strongly consider.
Coventry have conceded four goals from their opening two matches, losing both. And Manchester City have beaten every single newly promoted side they have faced at the Etihad Stadium since being held to a 1-1 draw by Leeds United back in September 2020.
In fact, using the triple captain play could be a smart decision for this particular fixture, with it strongly likely Haaland will at least find the net once during the contest.
Rayan Cherki
Similarly, fellow teammate Cherki, as previously mentioned, has been perhaps the biggest shining light across the league in the opening two matches of the new Premier League season, and is set to be at the centre of City's creative spark at home to Frank Lampard's Coventry.
Goals and assists are a strong possibility for the Frenchman against a side yet to score their first goal of the campagin following promotion to the top flight.
