With the January transfer window edging ever closer, the rumour mill is beginning to swirl for many clubs across England.
Here at FootballPark, keeping you up to date with the latest news is a priority, so with that being said, here is a look at five of the most recent transfer stories and links you may have missed over the last day.
A host of Championship clubs are linked with a January move for former Premier League and current Rangers midfielder Joe Rothwell, as an exit looks likely for the out-of-favour midfielder.
Sheffield United, Derby County, Stoke City and Middlesbrough are among those vying for his signature, and it appears a bidding war could ensue as they battle it out for his services.
Confirmation coming that Rangers will let Joe Rothwell leave next month, which will surprise nobody.

His spell in Scotland hasn't exactly gone to plan, and Rothwell has only managed eight appearances for Rangers, with a lot of those coming from the bench.
Newcastle United are reportedly ready to make a move for AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, with initial contact made between clubs in recent days.
The Premier League side are long-term admirers of Akliouche and were linked with making a move for his services in the summer before ultimately pursuing other options.

Akliouche has found his way into the French squad over the last season and is now a regular part of Didier Deschamps' set-up.
Southampton are reportedly exploring a January loan move for out-of-favour Sunderland shotstopper Anthony Patterson, with the keeper looking for regular football in the second half of the season.
Patterson gained promotion with the Northeast club last season, but following the arrival of Robin Roefs in the summer, he fell out of favour with manager Regis Le Bris and hasn't made a Premier League appearance this season.

Whether the loan would have any possible permanence is yet to be seen, with Southampton reportedly in the midst of renewing the contract of the mentioned Bazunu.
With the likes of Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson likely commanding monumental transfer fees, many of those at the head of the Premier League hierarchy have been looking for other options.
One name who has emerged and looks to be under big interest from a host of clubs this January is robust Malian midfielder Mamdou Sangare.

The Lens midfielder has been in exceptional form over the last couple of seasons and has helped his side to the top spot in Ligue 1 at this stage.
Sangare has gained a lot of attention, especially considering the rare commodity of his position and qualities, with a move looking to be in the offing sooner rather than later.
Versatile Shamrock Rovers full-back Josh Honohan looks set for a January move to League One promotion-chasing Lincoln City, with a deal close to being agreed.
The deal is set for a fee of around £500,000 plus add-ons, which marks a significant sum of money for the Irish side but comes at the expense of losing one of their best players.

The 24-year-old has been at Shamrock for two seasons, having signed from Cork City in 2023, and has become an integral part of a side which finished second last season and currently sits top of the Irish Premier Division.
Honohan has seven goals and seven assists in all competitions this season, making this the most potent season of his career. He would be an excellent addition for Lincoln, who are currently in a battle for automatic promotion in League One and could well play a big part in them achieving that goal in the second half of the season if a deal goes through.
