Marc Guiu - Who Is The Barcelona Youngster Linked With Chelsea and Bayern Munich?
Chelsea are ahead of Bayern Munich in the race to sign Barcelona striker Marc Guiu, reports Fabrizio Romano, who Football Park ranks as a tier one source.
Romano reported last night that talks between the Blues and the player’s entourage were at an advanced stage but that other clubs were also keen on the forward.
However, Chelsea are still confident of getting a deal over the line for the player who has a £5.1 million release clause in his Barcelona contract.

But who is Chelsea target Marc Guiu?
Despite being of large interest to the London club, Guiu is still relatively unknown when it comes to first team football.
The 18-year-old emerged through the famous La Masia football academy, making appearances for the under-16s, under-18s and under-19s before featuring regularly for Barcelona B.
To date, the striker has made 25 appearances for the Primera RFEF Group 1 side, scoring eight goals and assisting four in the process.
This record was enough to earn Guiu a chance in the Barcelona first team, and he immediately impressed. Despite coming off the bench with only 11 minutes left to play on his La Liga debut, the Spaniard netted the winner in a 1-0 with over Athletic Bilbao.
Guiu featured just three days later too when he again came off the bench in Barcelona’s UEFA Champions League match against Shakhtar Donesk.
Throughout the remainder of the 2023/24 season, the forward struggled for minutes though, making only five more additional appearances and being an unused substitute 16 times.

Despite an inconsistent campaign, the forward is a target for various top clubs.
However, after being presented with a specific project for his development from the London club, Romano had revealed that it is Chelsea who are in pole position to sign the player.
In an attempt to swat away the circling clubs, Guiu has also been offered a new contract from the Blaugrana.
