It's fair to say not many players have enjoyed a brighter start to the new season than Rayan Cherki, which is even more impressive given the Frenchman has only started one of the two matches played so far.
Cherki began Manchester City's opening match of the new campagin on the bench as his side faced AFC Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, and watched on as City went 0-1 down in the first half thanks to a goal from Marcus Tavenier.
Still trailing with 27 miniutes to play, Enzo Maresca turned to Cherki, and the game soon flipped on it's head.
Cherki grabbed two assists as City turned the game around and won 2-1 thanks to a late winner from Josko Gvardiol, but it was Cherki who almost single-handedly changed the entire complexion of the match.
And awarded with a start the following week away at Crystal Palace, Cherki further dazzled. Scoring two of City's four goals in a comfortable 1-4 win.
At £7.7 million and in this form, Cherki is surely a no-brainer if he does not already feature in your team.
2: Maxim De Cuyper - £4.7m
What a start for Brighton!

Maxim De Cuyper doubles their advantage! 🔵 pic.twitter.com/3WbyZlEhMV
Primarily a left-back, Brighton's Maxim De Cuyper has began the season for Brighton & Hove Albion playing mainly as a left-winger and part of the Seagulls attack due to injured to the team's main wide attackers, and so far it has been too good effect.
The Belgian scored in Brighton's first match of the season at home to Aston Villa in his side's emphatic 4-0 victory, before also scoring and assisting the following week in the club's second leg of their UEFA Conference league playoff against Norweigan outfit Tromsø.
Versatile and effective all across the left-hand side, De Cuyper looks a smart buy at just £4.7 million, with the 25 year-old set to play a key role throughout Brighton's campagin.
3: Nobel Mendy - £4 million
You can never judge players after just two matches, but early signs suggest Hull City's Nobel Mendy could be one of the signings of the season in the Premier League.
The 22 year-old centre-back joined the Tigers for a club-record deal from Laliga club Rayo Vallecano, slotting in to the left-side of Sergej Jakirovic's back three, and has so far been excellent.
Mendy played a starring role in Hull's opening shock win against Manchester United at the MKM Stadium, scoring the second goal to double the advantage and making an incredible 12 clearences at the defensive end of the pitch.
Mendy and Hull followed that up the week after with another win and another clean sheet, as Hull, who many tipped to be comfortably bottom, became just one of four teams to win both of their first two games.
Priced at just £4 million, he could be a smart addition if this form continues.
4: Semi Ajayi - £4.1 million

But Mendy is not the only Hull centre-back that could be worth a buy, experienced defender Semi Ajayi has alkso began the campagin in impressive fashion at the heart of the Tigers backline.
The 32 year-old joined Hull from West Bromich Albion last summer on a free transfer after six seasons at The Hawthorns, making 24 appearences in the league as Hull earned an unexpected promotion to the top flight.
And this season, Ajayi has began the campagin in style, scoring the opening goal against Manchester United, and earned the highest match rating of any player, before playing the full 90 minutes in the following week's victory away at Coventry City.
Coudl the Nigerian be another possible defensive bargain at £4.1 million? It looks like that could well be the case.
5: Mamadou Sangaré - £5.7 million
Bloody hell!!! Mamadou Sangare. pic.twitter.com/ZhKjm1j8cC

A third and final Brentford player on this list. Many may not have been to familar with Malian midfielder Mamadou Sangaré before his club-record move to Brentford this summer, but the 24 year-old is already catching eyes with his early performances in a Bees shirt.
One of the most impressive players throughout the entire Premier League in the first two games, Sangaré looks like the latest in a long line of smart Brentford signings.
Sangaré lit up the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford's opening fixture at home to Tottenham Hotspur, helping assist the brilliantly worked opening goal which got the Bees started ahead of a dominant 3-0 win, before the midiielder played the entire match as Brentford earned a point vs Leeds United at Elland Road the following weekend.
It's early days of course, but at £5.7 million, you could do much worse in midfield than the new Bees' star.
6: Yoane Wissa - £6.1 million
What a GOAL from Yoane Wissa?! 🫨 pic.twitter.com/mjuHpaa4YY
— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) August 29, 2026
After a disastrious first season on Tynside, not many would have forseen Yoane Wissa having the start to the season the striker has enjoyed so far.
The now 30 year-old joined Newcastle from Brentford last summer and struggled in black and white, scoring just three league goals throughout his first season, but so far in 26/27 he looks like a new man under new coach Matthias Jaissle, starring in the Magpies opening match vs Liverpool where they earned a 2-2 draw, before impressing once more the next week away at Tottenham Hotspur, where Wissa scored a brilliantly improvised overhead kick to double his side's advantage on the way to a 0-2 win.
With Nick Woltemade sent on loan to Juventus, it appears Jaissle trusts Wissa to lead the line for his Magpies' side this campaign, and at £6.1 million he could be a strong option in attack.
7: Anthony Elanga - £6.1 million

Another Newcastle attacker avariable for £6.1 million, Elanga's time at Newcastle almost perfectly aligns with that of Wissa.
Like Wissa, Anthony Elanga arrived at St. James Park from Nottingham Forest last summer for a fee said to be around £55 million, and failed to find form, scoring just three goals with zero coming in the Premier League from 32 appearences.
But just like Wissa, Elanga has experienced something of a renassiance at the beginning of this new campagin, scoring in both of Newcastle's first two matches, opening the scoring against both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to score his first two Premier League goals for Newcastle after failing to find the net in the competition last season.
Like Wissa, Elanga is priced at £6.1 million, and could be a strong consideration given his form.
8: Keane Lewis-Potter - £5.5 million

Brilliant play from record signing Mamadou Sangaré 👏 pic.twitter.com/Ua9HklQaWh
Alongside Sangaré, Keane Lewis-Potter has enjoyed a fine start to the campaign at Brentford, collecting 16 points from the opening two matches in Fantasy Premier League.
Initially signed as a winger, Lewis-Potter has emerged as a left-back for Keith Andrews' side, and has scored and assisted once in two matches so far, finding the net for Brentford's first goal of the season to open the scoring against Tottenham.
Lewis-Potter followed that up with an assist in the next match away at Leeds, and looks set to be a key figure for Brentford once more this season.
Versatile and relaible, Lewis-Potter could be a bargain signing in FPL priced at just £5 million.
9: Kevin Schade - £5 million
"That is UNBELIEVABLE!" 😱
— Sky Sports Premier League (@SkySportsPL) August 30, 2026
Kevin Schade with a stunning finish to give Brentford a deserved lead against Leeds pic.twitter.com/IwmWd8sOUu
Forward Kevin Schade has been a strong source of output in attack for Brentford after initially struggling when arribing in West London since his move from SC Freiburg in 2023, not scoring for his first 18 appearences in red and white before hitting 20 goals combined in the last two full Premier League seasons.
The 24 year-old German forward, has had a strong start to new season, earning praise for his performance and part in Brentford's 3-0 win over Tottenham despite not registering a goal contribtuion, and opened his account for the season the following week, scoring with a brilliant finish at Elland Road to give Brentford the lead.
At £5 million, Schade could prove a potiential bargain for FPL players looking for a cheap but reliable option in attack.
10: Anton Stach - £6 million

— Premier League (@premierleague) August 22, 2026
Since arriving at Elland Road last summer from German side Hoffenheim, midfieler Anton Stach has impressed greatly for Leeds United.
Stach enjoyed a fine first season in the Premier League, playing a starring role from the midfield as Leeds defied many expectations to comfortabtly survive in the top flight following their promotion from the EFL Championship.
Stach scored five goals from midfield in the Premier League last season, and has already opened his account for the new campagin with a brilliant free-kick effort away at Nottingham Forest, earning a reputation as a set-piece and long-range specalist.
A dependable midfielder with an eye for goal, £6 million for Stach could be a strong option for the midfield in your Fantasy Premier League team.
