The 5 Tallest Players on FC 27 Have Finally Been Revealed

A New Game Cometh

FC 27 is just weeks away from launching and, despite being perhaps the least-anticipated entry in the FC/FIFA series, it does still spring the same old questions to mind.

Who's going in your starter squad? What's the best formation to use this year? Why does my fucking centre-back seem completely incapable of making a single pissing interception or tackle that doesn't bounce straight back to his man? Y'know, that old lark.

But one that piques my interest, year on year, is the smallest and tallest players in the game. Well, we'll be taking a look at the tallest side of that list today.

Here are the five tallest outfield players you can expect to see in EA FC 27.

Kelven Frees - Kaiserslautern - CB - 6'8/202cm

Starting off our list with one of two mighty Germans you can have at the back this year, this is 21-year-old Kaiserslautern defender Kelven Frees.

He has only made a couple of senior club appearances in his tender career so far, through a spell with his parent club Hoffenheim and the loan he finds himself on this season.

If EA find the time to fix the fucking headers this year, then Frees might be a tidy player to push up for those corner routines.

Skelly Alvero - Werder Bremen - CDM - 6'8/202cm

Now, word to the wise, I did a lot of 'Evolutions' on this fella on 26, and he is quite frankly hilarious to use.

He has all of the power of a tank, the strength of an ox and all the grace and prowess and agility of an AC-130, or perhaps a bungalow.

Using him in the tight spaces would be akin to asking Bambi to do the Macarena on an ice rink, but he remains an absolute bundle of fun to use. When you've upgraded him, anyway - using his stock card is some form of torture.

Pape Moussa Fall - FC Metz - ST - 6'8/203cm

Just a centimetre taller than the last two entrants to claim third, introducing the tallest number nine you will find on the game - Metz's young starlet, Pape Moussa Fall.

Now, the thing is, with uber-tall footballers you tend to find that they haven't got the eye-leg co-ordination to truly succeed at a top level, with the exception of a few like Peter Crouch, for one. That applies to most on this list who are... not great in real life. But Fall, however, is actually pretty bloody good.

Aged just 22, we featured him in one of our 'Wednesday Wonderkid' instalments over last season for the stream of goals he was notching on loan in Belgium with RAAL - now back in France with Metz, he already has two to his name this term. Keep an eye on this one... though he isn't quite Kyle Hudlin.

Elias Egouli - Fortuna Dusseldorf - CB - 6'8/204cm

Again, splitting hairs with the centimetre-long increases, but imagine a German backline consisting of two 6'8 behemoths in Egouli and Frees. Truly nightmarish stuff.

Dusseldorf defender Egouli is relatively well-liked for his club, though he wasn't able to save them from relegation to the third tier of Germany last season. Fortunately, the 3.Bundesliga was recently added into the game, so you'll still be able to use this towering example of German engineering in your back line.

That makes for two incredibly tall centre-backs but, if you are a rat who uses a three and fancies making them as tall as possible, look no further than...

Isaak Toure - FC Lorient - CB - 6'9/206cm

Finally, an increase of an inch!

Fans of the game are more than aware of this freakishly big Frenchman, who plies his trade primarily for Lorient's B-Team at the age of 23. However, despite not having a brilliant senior career to speak of, his innate popularity will likely keep him in the gaming franchise for a while. If only they brought back Hudlin...

He's the joint-second-tallest player in the game overall, including goalkeepers and second only to the insanely-tall Kevin Gadella (6'11, blimey), and an absolute freak of nature to put through the 'Evos' and add to your back line.
