The Art of the Technical Area - Arteta FINALLY Gets What's Coming to Him
In football, there is one rule that managers must follow and a rule that often sees them getting put into the book. That rule is the fact that you have to stay inside your technical area during the game. However, that only applied to 19 managers in the Premier League. The one seemingly immune? Arteta.
He is known for dancing around his technical area and being “animated”; however, he is simply breaking a rule. It happens so often that people don’t even notice it anymore, and that goes for the officials as well.

It seemed like the refs and 4th officials had an unspoken agreement that no matter what Arteta was doing, he wouldn’t get a yellow. He might as well have jumped onto the pitch and made it 12 vs 11. That was until yesterday.
Against Sunderland, Arteta was up to his normal antics, and finally, a ref took notice. He went towards Arteta, and the Arsenal manager appeared to look visibly confused. That was until the ref brandished a yellow card and finally, finally, he had been punished for his cheating.
Will this enforcement of the rules towards Arteta carry on? Or will it be a one-time thing, and he is allowed to keep dancing around his technical area forever more?
