The Manchester United team that beat PSG in the Champions League
Manchester United shocked the world when they came back from being 2-0 down to win 3-1 away at PSG in 2019. But where are those players now?
On this day, four years ago, Manchester United made THAT comeback against PSG. Winning 3-1 at the Parc des Princes after losing the first leg at Old Trafford 2-0.

David De Gea
De Gea was shipped out of Manchester United in the summer of 2023, when his contract at the club expired. In came the younger model of Andre Onana, who hasn’t quite lived up to the standards set by the Spaniard.
De Gea hasn't spent the whole of the 2023/24 season away from football, and is still without a club.
Luke Shaw
Now 28, Shaw has been at Man United for 10 years now, and a worthy candidate for their left-back slot.
VIctor Lindelöf
The Swedish defender is still with the Red Devils after singing for them in 2017. He’s still only 29.
Chris Smalling
Smalling left Manchester United four months after this game, leaving for Italian side Roma. He still plays for them now and won the Europa Conference League title their in 2022. He’s currently 34.
Eric Bailly
The defender from Ivory Coast never quite lived up to his potential with the Red Devils. In 2023, he went to Besiktas on a free transfer, but only stayed there for six months. In January of 2024, he left to Spanish side Villarrreal.
Andreas Pereira
After this game, for the 2020/21 season, Pereira was loaned out to Italian outfit Lazio for a season, before spending the following campaign at Flamengo in Brazil. As of 2022, he’s been playing for Fulham as a regular player in the Premier League.
Fred
Fred spent five years at United, playing 139 times. Now though, he plays for Turkish side Fenerbahce, at 31 years of age.
Scott McTominay
McToominay is still only 27 and still plays for Manchester United, despite being linked to numerous other clubs every transfer window.
Ashley Young
Aside from David De Gea, Young was the only member of this United team that was there for their last Premier League title win in 2013. Now though, none remain.
Young went on to win the league with Inter Milan in Italy, before some time at Aston Villa, he now plays for Everton, at 37.
Marcus Rashford
Bastian Schweinsteiger has just urged Marcus Rashford to play for a better team. This season though, he’s only scored seven goals in 31 games.
Rashford has only ever played for United. Making his first team debut in 2016.
Romelu Lukaku
Lukaku went on quite the ride after Manchester United. He was sold to Inter Milan at the end of this season, sorting out his diet issues and eventually winning the league with them.
For the 2021/22 season, Chelsea signed him as what seemed to be the perfect striker reborn. However, after a shoddy campaign, he was loaned back to Inter, and is now on loan at Roma, still from Chelsea.
