These sides have faced each other 3 times before with the last time being in 2018 where Spain battered Argentina 6-1. However, the previous 2 saw Argentina win. The only time they have faced at a World Cup was 60 years ago when Argentina won 2-1. So, there isn’t much history to go on.

Spain has a defence that has seemed unbreakable so far this summer. Only conceding one goal. However, Argentina doesn’t know how to give up. They looked out against Egypt and won, England were looking comfortable, but Argentina won.

So, what is the prediction?

Spain wins 2-1. They have the grit and trained ability to be able to beat anyone no matter how good. France had the best attack by a mile, and they weren’t given a sniff at goal. Portugal had the best midfield and were played off the pitch. Spain will take this game by the scruff one the neck and win. Argentina and FIFA will be left heart broken.

Genuine question, who gives a shit about this game? We have all just been heartbroken a few days before and now we must watch a game that only exists for FIFA to make some more money. Staying up for a 10pm kick off to watch a pointless game seems like a kick in the gut.

So, who will win? France. England’s defence isn’t anything special and the attack that France has even if they don’t play their best attack is just too good. It will be a game that looks half hearted, because it is, and won’t be a good match.
