Who's Going to Win Premier League Player of the Year? Odds, Standings and Our Predictions

As we get closer to the end of the season, we can start to talk more about the end of season awards and the biggest one of them all. We have seen many top players this season, however, some names have stood out more than others when we talk about the favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year. So today we will be looking into the Bookies favourites as well as giving our own opinion on the winner.

6. Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth & Manchester City) – 22/1

We start off the potential six-man nominations with a player who when he joined Manchester City would’ve been in the top 3. However, while he hasn’t slowed down, not being the main man looks to have damaged his chances a bit. With 15 goals and 4 assists he looks certain to be a nomination especially if City end up with the league title. 20 games for Bournemouth scoring 10 goals and providing 3 assists then moving to City and scoring 5 and assisting 1 in 12 matches shows that the change didn’t damage him. He has been one of the most influential players since joining City and his place is more than deserved.

5. Rayan Cherki (Manchester City) – 10/1

Our next man is another name in the City attack and another man who has been influential for them and their title charge. While he doesn’t have the level of goals and assists of Semenyo with 4 goals and 10 assists, he has done a lot more. He is a joy to watch on the pitch bringing that freedom and flair to the City team that struggled sometimes. His ability to take a man on and beat them allowing more space for teammates has allowed him to quickly climb the ranks as one of their best players and favourites to win the POTY. That is why Cherki is placed in 5th.

4. Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) 4/1

The theme has continued as we see our 3rd City player on the list. This time it isn’t one of their new signings nor is it a man who brings loads of goals or flair to the pitch. Silva has been the player that has made it work. He has done a lot of the hard work this season and kept the team clicking. With just 6 goals and assists this season he hasn’t been an output machine, but he has been the dictator in the middle making sure that attack, midfield and defence always click. Can Silva finally win the POTY in his final season in Manchester before leaving in the summer?

3. Erling Haaland (Manchester City) 4/1

Now we enter the top 3 we see our final player from the league leaders on this list. While his 2026 didn’t start off with flying colours struggling to match his output from the first half of the season, he has stepped up recently including a massive goal for them against Arsenal. With 24 goals this season, he looks sure to win the golden boot and would be a massive reason for why Pep lifts his 6th Premier League with Manchester City. He would be higher if his start of the year was stronger, however, because of the weaker start of the second half of the season, he can’t place any higher than third.

2. Declan Rice (Arsenal) 5/2

Finally, we move away from Manchester. While they haven’t been very strong recently Arsenal has still been league leaders for the majority of the season and this man, he been one of the reasons. Vital in helping their defence and carrying the ball forward for Arsenal. Without him there is very little chance that they would still be in the battle for the title. With 4 goals and 5 assists his attacking numbers have been good for a midfielder. However, it is his dead ball abilities that have become vital for Arsenal with his corners and free kicks causing a lot of issues through the season. If Arsenal win the league, he could easily become the favourite.

1. Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) 2/1

We have gotten a front runner and a clear one at that. We go back to Manchester for this one, however, we visit the red side instead of the blue. Bruno has been the man this season since Michael Carrick took over. With 8 goals and 18 assists he has been the man who has pushed them forward and has been giving them all the chances in the world. With 3 games left to play he could break the assists record and that would be something that almost confirms his place as the PFA POTY. United are currently in 3rd and his is the main reason for that, this is why he is the favourite to win the award.

Football Park’s Own Opinion

Here at Football Park, we normally like to have takes that don’t always get agreed with, however, this time we must agree with the bookies and give it to Bruno. He has been unplayable this season providing assists and massive goals throughout the majority of the season. While United won’t win anything this season, one of the players could and more than likely should. Therefore, Bruno is our current PFA Player of the Year.
