10. Christ Inao Oulaï (Ivory Coast, Trabzonspor)

Eritrea is a lesser known country when it comes to European expats, but we think Ali Suleiman may have something to offer in the big leagues. His versatility is an asset to any side, and at 25-years old, the Eritrean is entering his prime years.

7. Fashion Sakala (Zambia, Al-Fayha)

Fashion Sakala has previously established himself in Europe. During his stint with Rangers, the Zambian striker netted 24 times in 91 appearances, as well as picked up a Europa League runners up medal. Now 29-years old, Sakala plays his football in Saudi Arabia, but with his contract expiring in the summer, there's a chance he may want to test himself in Europe once more.

Sakala has played extensively both as a left-winger and as a striker, his versatility, accompanied with an eye for goal, make him a wildcard for any team. Currently, he has 11 goals and 4 assists to his name in 27 appearances in the Saudi Pro League, and the player has only not hit double goal figures in a season twice in his professional career.

Sakala is a perfect fit for a newly promoted Premier League side, or any EFL club. His experience in the SPFL is invaluable, and given his age, the player still has multiple years left to give.

6. Fiston Mayele (DR Congo, Pyramids FC)

Pyramids FC talisman Fiston Mayele is once again proving why he is one of Africa’s most decisive attacking weapons. He already has nine goals and assists to his name this season, continuing the momentum of a sensational previous campaign. Last season, Mayele fired Pyramids to CAF Champions League glory and crowned a stunning year with 20 goal contributions and a Player of the Season award. At 31-years old, Mayele has never played for a club outside of Africa, but it's never too late. At 6'1", Mayele is considered an old school, more physical striker that is strong in aerial duels and has the ability to link up play. Whether this can translate into Europe's big leagues is yet to be seen, however, he would be a perfect fit for an EFL side as the divisions demand gruelling physicality.

5. Fisayo Dele-Bashiru (Nigeria, Lazio)

Since leaving the Manchester City Academy in 2020, Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has already built a remarkably varied career for a 25-year-old. After three seasons with Sheffield Wednesday across both the Championship and League One, he took his talent to Turkey with Hatayspor before earning a move to Serie A side Lazio at the start of the 2024/25 season.

Dele-Bashiru is a complete modern operator in the middle of the park. The player is equally capable of anchoring play or driving forward in a more advanced role, combining physical presence with technical quality in a way that makes him stand out. His six appearances for Nigeria at AFCON prove he belongs at the forefront of the country’s next generation, and the trajectory of his career suggests he is only just getting started.

Despite the fact Dele-Bashiru has already established himself in Europe to an extent, it can be argued that the elite clubs are ignoring his rapid development. Switching from the EFL to the Serie A in two years is a big step up and is reminiscent of the rise of Ademola Lookman. Similarly to Lookman, the Nigerian has continued to grow and adapt to life in Italy and establish himself in the national side. It's worth keeping an eye on him as he continues to grow, as it won't be long until Europe's big boys come knocking,

4. Mamadou Camara (Senegal, RSB Berkane)

23-year old Senegalese midfielder Mamadou Camara plays for Moroccan side RSB Berkane and is the midfield general of the African powerhouse side at just 23-years old. He was also in the Senegal side that lifted the AFCON trophy this season.

3. Mbekezeli Mbokazi (South Africa, Chicago Fire)

After leaving South African giants Orlando Pirates in the January transfer window, 20-year old centre back Mbekezeli Mbokazi has been lighting up the MLS with Chicago Fire. So far, the player has 9 appearances to his name, and his performances have been something to behold. Since receiving a national call up for South Africa ahead of the AFCON, Mbokazi has been a mainstay in the side. For many, he is one of the first names on the team sheet ahead of the World Cup.

Mbokazi is naturally a centre-back, but his skill set gives him far greater tactical flexibility. He is equally capable of operating as a holding midfielder, largely because of his composure in possession and his ability to create from deeper areas. Playing as a central midfielder, he boasts an ability to break down attacks as well as create chances from deep. Mokoena is far from an unknown quantity in Europe. His stock rose significantly after a string of commanding performances at last year’s Club World Cup, where he showed that he can influence games against high-level opposition. Furthermore, he has become a staple in the national side, making 13 appearances for Bafana since his introduction in mid 2024. As Orlando Pirtates chase down the league leaders Mamelodi Sundowns for the PSL title, Mofokeng is sure to play a big role and warrant an array of personal accolades for his efforts this season.
