Sheffield Wednesday are planning on using their available loan space within their EFL Championship squad to bring in Luton Town midfielder Marvelous Nakamba, before the winter transfer window closes after the coming weekend, according to The Sheffield Star.
The Zimbabwe international has only made one League One appearance so far this season for Luton Town and is expected to be on his way out of the club sooner rather than later. With Sheffield Wednesday not allowed to spend any money on players, a move for Nakamba to help bolster their squad may be exactly what they need.

According to Joe Crann (Sheffield Star), Marvelous Nakamba is in talks with Luton Town over a mutual termination of his contract. He could be out of contract by the end of this week.

The 32-year-old would add some reinforcement to the team after the departure of club legend Barry Bannan, who left Hillsborough earlier this week to join promotion-chasing Millwall. With the former Aston Villa midfielder's contract set to expire at the end of the season, Nakamba will wish to play as much football as he can within the next half-year as he prepares to enter free agency.
One thing can be said for certain about Sheffield Wednesday - they are brave, and they are not slipping into their near-certain Championship relegation without doing what they can against it.
A summer of fines, transfer bans and points deductions as the club entered administration dominated the club's headlines amidst the painstaking departure of former owner Dejphon Chansiri, a period which has left the club rooted to the bottom of the table on -7 points, having accumulated just 11 points on the pitch so far this season.

With the club transfer banned and unable to spend any money on transfer fees, the club have identified forgotten Luton Town midfielder as a target for their recently-hit midfield. After the departure of club legend Barry Bannan, who spent a decade at Hillsborough, the club need to add another body to their already-thin engine room.
Nakamba represents an experienced midfielder with 38 international caps and over 25 Premier League appearances, and yet has been a ghostly figure at Kennilworth Road this season with just one League One appearance to his name. With his contract expiring at the end of the season, and with next to no chance of a renewal, the time would be ripe for Sheffield Wednesday to provide him with first team football before the very end of the season.
