£40 Million Defender Set to Sign for West Ham

05/07/24 20:43

According to Fabrizio Romano, who Football Park rate as a tier one source, Max Kilman is set to sign for West Ham United.

The centre back, who captains current club Wolverhampton Wanderers, has completed a medical with the Hammers today.

Kilman has played 151 times for his current club, and established himself across five seasons in the Premier League.

The clubs had previously agreed on a £40 million fee for the defender, who signed for Wolves from non-league side Maidenhead United, and personal terms have been agreed between the clubs and the player.

Kilman was linked to Newcastle earlier in the summer, but a deal never materialised.

Interestingly, the aforementioned Maidenhead United have a sell-on clause for Kilman which is between 15-20%. This means that should the deal finalise, they’ll receive a fee between £6-8 million, which would be absolutely huge for a side in the fifth tier.
