5 Of The Very Best Neal Maupay "Sh**house" Moments
Neal Maupay has to be one of the most annoying footballers to play against. Known for not caring about anyone or anything on or off the pitch, he is the definition of a football “sh**house”.
But the Premier League has finally seen the back of him as the former Everton, Brighton and Brentford man has made the switch over to France joining Marseille.
So in honour of his seven years in the Premier League coming to an end we have decided to take a look back at 5 of the very best Neal Maupay “sh**house” moments.

Brighton & Hove Albion vs Crystal Palace is probably the most random rivalry in England. After all, the two clubs aren’t even close to one another.
However the tie still seems to bring some iconic moments. One of which was with Neal Maupay.
In 2021, Maupay scored a 95th minute equaliser against the Eagles and to celebrate he did the most Maupay thing imaginable… copied Wilfred Zaha’s ear cupping celebration. And in front of the Palace end at that.
Zaha could be seen walking off the pitch at the end of the game not looking too happy while Maupay walked around the pitch laughing and smiling. This might be because of the late goal but we would like to think it is more to do with the celebration afterwards.

One of the biggest shithouses in the Premier League 😂 pic.twitter.com/JHyL1WX6Ln
This is probably the first thing you think of when you think Maupay sh**housery but arguably it is the most iconic.
The first time came after Maupay scored against Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. And in typical Maupay fashion he celebrated by doing the iconic James Maddison darts celebration. They may have lost the game 3-1 but Maupay took to Instagram after the game saying:
“Gutted we couldn’t get the win. More goals and less relegations in my career than James Maddison. We go again Monday bees.”
Not too long after Maddison was shockingly left out of the England Euro 2024 squad with Maupay instantly reacting with a picture of him and a set of darts on his Instagram.
Iconic!

This may be a bit of a cheat but we are going with it anyway.
Maupay loves a fake crying celebration to mock opposition fans and he has whipped it out after a goal on so many occasions.
Probably the most iconic was following his goal against Southampton as a way of mocking the Arsenal fans he had annoyed just a week earlier - having wound up Matteo Guendouzi and accidentally injuring Bernd Leno.
In fact after that game he described the celebration by saying it was a way to “give them Arsenal Fans a shout, really.”
But some fans may remember him doing the same thing against Manchester United following a converted panenka penalty.
Nonetheless he has done it a lot and will probably do it again in France.

Fair to say that Neal Maupay has cemented his spot in the Shithousery Hall of Fame 😂 pic.twitter.com/OzTvzBlU5J
One of the more recent examples of Maupay sh**housery but funny all the same.
Chelsea were preparing to take a freekick and a warming up Neal Maupay on the sidelines decided to slightly kick the ball away from the referee’s pitch spray. All as a way of wasting a little bit more time in the game.
Was there any need for him to do this? No. Did he get cautioned for it? Of Course. But does Neal Maupay care? Absolutely not!

The final pick on our list and it has to be Maupay’s Premier League farewell.
Taking to twitter following his departure from Everton to sign for Marseille, Maupay decided he would reply to a tweet from Transfer Guru Fabrizio Romano announcing the transfer was complete.
Rather than thanking the Everton fans for their support during his time at the club or saying goodbye to the Premier League though, Maupay reacted with a video straight out of the film Shawshank Redemption.
Specifically the scene where Matt Damon’s character Andy finally breaks out of the prison and is ecstatic as the rain hits his face.
This suggesting that Maupay is happy to be seeing the back of Everton after finally breaking free.
If Maupay had to leave Everton and the Premier League that was always going to be the way he did it. Proper “sh**house” behaviour!

Those are our picks but of course there are loads more that we missed out.
Essentially I think we can all admit, there will never be a bigger “sh**house” in the Premier League than Neal Maupay!
