Ajax Interested in Fulham Winger

16/07/24 13:53

According to Lyall Thomas for Sky Sports News, who Football Park rate as a tier two source, Ajax are interested in Harry Wilson.

Wilson signed for Fulham in 2022 in 2021 for around £12 million. Over the last three years he’s established himself as a key part of Fulham’s set up, scoring 19 goals and providing 34 assists in the period.

After the departures of both Willian and Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Fulham would be reluctant to let another first team winger depart the club. After the Welshman bagged ten Premier League goal contributions, It’s likely it would take a bid well over £20 million to convince The Cottagers to cash in.

Fulham are looking to bolster their attacking options, but they’ve just had a bid for Arsenal’s Emile Smith-Rowe rejected.

Ajax were previously interested in Omari Hutchinson, but he’s since signed for Ipswich Town.

Wilson however may be more convinced by the project Ajax presents, with them still having a chance to qualify for next season's Europa League group stages. The Dutch giants have also re-signed Bertrand Traore, incidentally a right winger, so Wilson would have to fight for his place in the squad there.
