The saga of what happens with Alphonso Davies seems as though it is going to be the talk of the summer transfer window.

In an incredible turn of events, Cadena SER, who Football Park ranks as a tier 3 source in terms of reliability, are now reporting that Alphonso Davies has rejected a contract offer from the German club.

So far this summer the Canadian international has been linked with clubs all across the globe. Most significantly, interest from Real Madrid has people suggesting he could make a big move this summer.

Bayern of course will be desperate to keep Davies, who is a key member of their squad. Arguably being one of the best attacking left backs on the planet. But now, with reports suggesting he has rejected their latest contract offer, anything could happen.

With Vincent Kompany coming in at Bayern Munich he faces the tough challenge of trying to convince Davies to stay. The suggestion is however that if Davies is to stay he will take a significant wage increase. Something Bayern may not be willing to do.
