Arsenal set to spend 100 million on Gyokeres this summer

Viktor Gyokeres has been absolutely smashing it this season after transferring to Sporting Lisbon from Coventry City.

The Swede has has a total of 36 goals and 14 assists from just 39 games which is enough to raise the eyebrows of most top clubs in Europe.

One club looking at the dynamic forward is Mikel Arteta's Arsenal. Many pundits this season have criticised the club for their lack of a goalscoring striker, claiming that is what seoarates them from the likes of Man City.

So the question on everyone's minds is; Can Gyokeres be the perfect striker for Arsenal?

Despite his height, the striker is great on the ball, his ability to drive into space and create chances for other attackers is up there with the best.

His goalscoring comes from his speed of mind and ability to find space in the box for himself as well as being able to use both feet for his finishes.

Viktor Gyokeres

If Gyokeres were to sign for Arsenal he could go for a large fee, despite his 55 million euro valuation on transfermarkt.

The striker has a release clause of 100 million euros and if Arsenal's interest is real you would expect them to follow through and put their money where their mouth is.

There is also interest from Chelsea but with their current struggles with PSR and the Premier League, Arsenal have a massive advantage in the race for Gyokeres.

With Kai Havertz's recent from up front, there will be people wondering whether Arsenal have found their striker solution already.

These rumours won't be going anywhere in the meantime and Gyokeres is definitely a name to lookout for this coming transfer window.
