Bayern Agree Fee for Palhinha

03/07/24 12:48

Florian Plettenburg, who Football Park rate as a tier one reliable source, is reporting that Bayern Munich and Fulham have agreed a fee for Joao Palhinha.

Bayern have had personal terms agreed with Palhinha for a long while, after their move for the Portugal international collapsed last summer. Now that the German giants have agreed a €46 million fee for the player, the transfer is all but confirmed subject to a medical.

Interestingly, the fee agreed this year is lower than the €60 million fee reported last summer, despite Palhinha signing a new contract with the Cottagers earlier in the season.

Palhinha signed for Fulham in 2022 for €22 million, and has played a vital role in their two reasonably successful Premier League seasons. Primarily known for his tenacious tackling and ability to break down opposition attacks effortlessly, Palhinha is also a goal-threat from set-pieces and long-shots.

Bayern also look close to securing the signings of Michael Olise and Xavi Simons, as they look to offload Matthijs De Ligt.
