Bayern Have Bid Rejected For Fulham’s Joao Palhinha

09/06/24 16:16

David Ornstein, rated at a tier one for reliability by Football Park, has revealed that Bayern Munich submitted a bid late last week for Fulham’s Joao Palhinha. A proposal that was not accepted by the London club.

It is understood that the proposal was in the realms of around €35 million.

Palhinha, who has been a key part of Marco Silva’s Fulham side, almost joined the German club last summer but as Fulham were unable to find a replacement the move collapsed.

After yet another impressive season in Fulham’s midfield it appears that he could be on his way out this time. Despite the bid being rejected talks are apparently still ongoing between the two clubs and an agreement could be made soon.

Expect the Cottagers to be stern about exactly how much they want for the Portuguese international though with them not wanting to let go of their star player. They have already claimed that they will only let him go for ‘the right price’ so Bayern Munich may need to cough up a lot more if they are going to bag the midfield man.

The club is already eyeing up a replacement with Arsenal man Emile Smith-Rowe being top of their wish list this summer.

Expect another bid for Palhinha from Bayern Munich soon.
