The proposed move comes as a bit of a suprise for Birmingham fans who have plenty of reinforcements at the back but continue to spend big in the transfer window.
Panzo has plenty of Championship experience with the likes of Cardiff City, Coventry City and Nottingham Forest and would fit into The Blues side straight away.

Birmingham would likely have to spend around €1-3m to secure Panzo's signature if the deal was to be a permanent one.
He signed for a free in the summer and only put pen to paper on a one year deal, so his contract will expire at the end of June if he doesn't sign a new one.
Panzo has featured in the majority of matches this season for Portuguese side Rio Ave and has put on a steady display, but nothing that has been spectacular for him to stand out ahead of other defenders in the league.
Panzo can play at either centre back or left back and his very comfortable on the ball alongside being dominant in the air.
